It saddens us to let you all know that yesterday afternoon we received a call that Janna Penrow and her family lost their home to a vicious fire. If you or anyone you know has any clothes for a teenage girl, elementary school aged boy, one year old baby girl, and maternal clothes for Janna please contact Shelby Ashley Andrews, Myranda Elaine Conner McKee. If clothes aren’t what you feel are called to bring there are many of other things they will need, you’re welcome to bring anything by the salon! We are completely heart broken for Janna & her family as this will be a long journey to go through, we pray this community will come together and provide all that is needed for them. ❤️

We are pleased to announce that we have power back at Hair & Essentials. We are so incredibly blessed & thankful that we did not have extensive damage to our salon, with that being said Myranda Elaine Conner is offering $15 shampoo/ blow dry styles for the rest of the month. Whether you have power, or not feel free to book an appt to come sit and feel some normalcy as we are all so excited to be back together & fellowship with one another. We are continuing to pray for our community, along with first responders, linemen, and the brave tree climbers. We cannot wait to see all of you & love on yall!

While serving with Compass For Hope today we had a group bring a trailer from Athens that had food. Angela Bakos who helps a lot in the community ask us to deliver it to a mobile home park in South Augusta. We were surprised at what we found. . There are 250 homes there. A few people had spent their own money to grill hotdogs for the ones that had no food in the mobile home park. No relief had been sent their way. I only took 45 blessing bags because I had no idea what they would need. Instead of just taking the whole bag, they went through them, took what they needed and left the rest for someone else. They were opening up the packs of toilet paper and only taking two at a time. Nobody was fussing about it. They were just so thankful that they had supplies.
For the next few days, Compass For Hope is going to be trying to take them what we can. People have reached out and asked me if they know of any way they can help, so I'm just putting this out there. I know that there are so many in need. If you would like to drop water toilet paper, bread, peanut butter by my salon, we can get it there.
