🌿 Does your stomach know when you're stressed?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Late Summer is associated with the Earth element—and one of the emotions connected with Earth is worry and overthinking.

You know that feeling when your brain just won't turn off? 🤯

You replay conversations. Think through your to-do list. Worry about what might happen next.

And sometimes your digestion joins the conversation.

You might notice bloating, changes in appetite, fatigue after eating, digestive discomfort, or even trouble sleeping.

Chinese medicine has long recognized that our emotional and physical health are connected. Today, we also know much more about the gut-brain axis and the constant communication between our digestive system and brain.

🌱 Acupuncture can help support the nervous system and healthy digestion—because sometimes a calmer mind and a calmer stomach go hand in hand.

If you've been feeling stressed, sluggish, or just a little "off," I'd love to help.

🌿 What does a summer acupuncture treatment focus on?

Every treatment is personalized, but during the warmer months many people come in for:

☀️ Better sleep
🌸 Stress and anxiety
💆 Headaches and migraines
🌼 Seasonal allergies
💪 Neck and shoulder tension
🌱 Digestive support
💗 Hormone balance
🤰 Fertility and prenatal care

One of my favorite parts of acupuncture is that we don't just treat symptoms—we look at how everything in your body is connected.

The goal is to help you feel calmer, sleep better, and enjoy your summer with more energy and balance.

What's one thing your body has been asking for lately? 😊

🌼 Sneezing your way through summer? 🤧🌿

Spring isn't the only allergy season. Many people struggle with summer allergies from grasses, weeds, mold, and other environmental triggers.

Acupuncture and herbs can be a wonderful complement to your allergy care by helping to calm the immune system and reduce symptoms like:

🌾 Sneezing
👃 Stuffy or runny nose
👀 Itchy, watery eyes
😴 Sinus congestion and fatigue

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we don't just treat the symptoms—we look at the underlying patterns that may be making your body more reactive.

The earlier you begin treatment, the better your body can adapt throughout the season.

Are summer allergies slowing you down? I'd love to help you breathe a little easier so you can enjoy the rest of the season. ☀️

☀️ Is your summer calendar making you tired instead of happy? 🌻

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is the season of the Heart and the emotion of joy. ❤️

Most people think joy is always good, but Chinese medicine teaches that even joy can become too much. A calendar packed with vacations, BBQs, beach days, concerts, and family gatherings can leave your nervous system feeling overstimulated instead of restored. 🌊

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is leave an evening unscheduled.

Rest isn't the opposite of joy—it helps protect it. 🌿

If you've been feeling more tired than energized this summer, your body may be asking for a little extra support. Acupuncture can help regulate the nervous system, improve sleep, reduce stress, and restore balance.

How are you protecting your energy this summer? I'd love to hear in the comments! 😊

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙

Whether you're celebrating with family, gathering with friends, traveling, or simply enjoying a quiet day to yourself, I hope you find a few moments to slow down and care for your nervous system.

Summer is the season of the **Heart** in Chinese medicine—a time to cultivate joy, connection, and balance. It's also a good reminder that rest is productive, and protecting your energy allows you to show up more fully for the people and communities you care about.

Here are a few simple ways to nourish yourself this holiday weekend:

☀️ Take a walk outside.
💧 Stay hydrated.
🍉 Enjoy seasonal summer foods.
😌 Take a few deep breaths before jumping back into the busyness of life.
❤️ Give yourself permission to rest.

Wishing you a safe, joyful, and restorative holiday weekend.

If you're feeling like you could use a reset after the festivities, I'm here to help.

✨ Sometimes the best moments happen when you least expect them. ✨

This week I had a chance encounter with someone who was my acupuncture patient nearly **nine years ago**.

When we first met, she was navigating infertility. She had been told by her reproductive endocrinologist that IVF would be necessary if she wanted to conceive. At one point, she decided to take a break from IVF. During that time, she continued coming for acupuncture—not because we were trying to "make" a pregnancy happen, but because it helped her sleep better, reduce stress, and simply feel healthier and more like herself.

Some time later, she conceived naturally.

This week, I finally got to meet the little girl she had dreamed of for so long. She had us laughing with some fantastic knock-knock jokes, and it was such a joy to meet her husband and son as well.

Every fertility journey is unique, and no treatment can guarantee a particular outcome. But moments like these remind me why I love being an acupuncturist. Supporting people through their journey—whatever that journey looks like—is an incredible privilege.

If you're looking for support with fertility, stress, pain, women's health, or simply feeling more balanced in your body, I'd love to help.

🌿 I offer a free 15-minute consultation for new patients.
