It’s not all ☀️ and 🌈 but this day, it was!

And I allowed myself to feel.
The happiness.
The excitement.
The relief.

Of being responsible for my energy, my time, and my environment.

I’ve had to ask for help. I’ve cried. I’ve worried.

But I won’t stay there because I know what God has promised me.

Freedom.
Ease.
Overflow.
Peace.
Joy.
Purpose.

I post this because I know there is someone out there who is contemplating, negotiating, planning, and bargaining.

At some point, whatever it is you desire, take the leap. Prepare, plan, then execute.

May your day be fruitful, and your actions intentional!

Indigenous People’s Day. 🤍

After massaging 2 clients today, I participated in the the celebration of indigenous people, specifically the Hawaiian 🌺 people and the beautiful stories and songs of the spirit of ALOHA at the Gichigamiin Museum in Evanston.

Alo: presence
Ha: breath

Aloha embodies mutual respect, warmth, and care for the community and land with no expectation of return

I felt that today. In my practice, and in this place.

I am inspired to continue with the same spirit of presence and breath in everything I do, and everything I create.

It has also inspired me to continue my search for my roots, as I am told my grandmother is Lumbee, and I was excited to see that tribe on the map where my family is from in North Carolina.

And Maritza Garcia I’ve got to get those earrings!!

Initially it was once per week, then I added one Saturday, then 2 Saturdays per month - while also working a full time job, getting my son to college, and mothering an 8th grader.

November will be our 1 year AUXiversary and January 2027 our second year anniversary in business.

I appreciate everyone who has patronized my business, bought gift certificates, written a review, signed up for the newsletter, attended Oasis on the Patio events, bought an Oasis Wellness Crew membership, followed our business on Facebook on IG or told a friend or family member about NIA WELLNESS OASIS ❤️

It is because of the community that NIA WELLNESS OASIS is surviving! And now is time for us all to thrive!

Time to turn up the volume!!! WE’RE EXPANDING!!

I am stepping out on faith and leaning in to more of what God has called me to do!

To celebrate another rotation around the sun ☀️ , I will be offering my first Presence and Prayer session (FREE), this Sunday October 4th, from 1-2:00pm.

This is a free laying on of hands for the community.

For those of you who are not familiar, laying on of hands has African and Biblical roots. Individuals would literally lay their hands on their children or descendants to impart blessings, healing, and peace.

I am offering a quiet time for anyone to come that needs prayer; for their bodies, their loved ones, or anything in their life they need a blessing for.

There will be prayer, songs, meditations and room to heal.

This is a safe space for all belief systems. ❤️

So, please, stop by The AUX Wellness Collective and see our space, ask questions, and book your next appointment! You deserve to feel good!
