How to detach. Great reminders

๐–ง๐—ˆ๐— ๐–ณ๐—ˆ ๐–ฃ๐–ค๐–ณ๐– ๐–ข๐–ง..

- Let people be who they want to be ๐Ÿ‚ โ€” Peace begins when you stop trying to control others and start choosing what truly aligns with your energy and values.

- Trust rejection as redirection ๐Ÿšช โ€” Sometimes life removes people or opportunities to guide you toward something healthier, deeper, and more meaningful.

- Some people are meant to help you grow ๐ŸŒฑ โ€” Not every connection is meant to last forever; some people enter your life only to teach important lessons.

- Things may be falling apart to come together ๐ŸŒŠ โ€” Difficult moments often prepare you for a better path that you cannot yet fully understand.

- Focus on what you can control ๐ŸŽฏ โ€” Your thoughts, actions, reactions, and inner peace matter more than trying to control external situations.

- Detachment is choosing peace ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ โ€” True detachment is not coldness; it is protecting your peace instead of constantly seeking validation, approval, or understanding from others.

โœจDetachment is not giving up on life or peopleโ€ฆ
it is learning to love, care, and live without losing your inner peace, self-worth, or emotional freedom. ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿ•Š

I may have posted this before, but I enjoyed reading it again. How to care about the suffering in the world and still take care of yourself. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒˆ

โ€œHow do we go on living our ordinary, comfortable lives while knowing that terrible suffering is going on every single day for so many people around the world? Can we ever make peace with that suffering?โ€

It is a brilliant question.
I have struggled with it myself for years.

I do not think you โ€œmake peaceโ€ with cruelty and violence.
Not today. Maybe never.
And why should you.

Look. I cannot tell you how to grieve or how to fight. I cannot tell you what to do. But I can suggest the following.

Let the suffering of the innocent and the oppressed move you. Let it break your heart. Let it hurt. Deeply. The pain itself means your heart is still working! You are not numb. You are not detached, cold, or indifferent. You are not bypassing your humanity.

You hurt because your brothers and sisters are hurting. You belong to the same river of humanity.

At the same time, you must accept a limit to your hurting, if you can. Remember, you did not cause this horror. You cannot carry all of it without being crushed by it yourself, without being destroyed by the weight of the worldโ€™s suffering. You can only carry what is truly yours.

So you choose how and when to engage, as much as possible. When to read. When to watch. When to talk about world events. When to listen. You do this consciously, deliberately.

Grief and anger have to be held in presence, not poured endlessly into your nervous system all day long without limits. That is not compassion. It is a fast track to burnout and helplessness.

So you breathe first. You find your ground. You return to your real responsibility each day. How you speak. How you treat the people around you. How you love your child, your partner, your neighbour. How you refuse to pass unconsciousness onwards. How you refuse to fuel numbness, hatred, or violence in your family, your community, your workplace, your town or city.

You do your own inner work. You look honestly at the violence and prejudice in yourself. You attend to your own childhood wounds. You look at the log in your own eye before pointing at the splinter in your neighbourโ€™s. Healing your own trauma is not a distraction from saving the world. I truly believe it is part of how the world is saved.

And yes, of course, you can still protest. But not as permanent outrage. Not as more hatred layered on top of hatred. You act where action is possible. You show up. You speak. You vote. You give generously. You withhold consent.

And you do not let protest make you cruel! If your protest costs you your capacity to love, the damage has already spread.

And you rest too. You rest when you can. Rest is not a luxury. It is fuel. It is the source of all things.

And you allow joy, without apology and without guilt! Joy is not a betrayal of the cause. Joy is how you stop the violence from taking your soul too.

You shine your light, even when it feels impossibly dark.

And remember, there is no clean or easy way to live with all this. Anyone who says there is is being glib, or trying to sell you comfort way too cheaply. Being deeply affected by the world does not resolve neatly. It does not offer easy closure.

You may never be at peace with all the suffering in the world, but maybe you can make peace with THAT.

Finally, Iโ€™d say that it really is fu***ng brave to choose to stay awake, tender, open-hearted and curious in a world that keeps asking you to shut down.

Be still and know โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ

Stillness returns what the world scatters. โœจ๐ŸŒฟ

Stillness is not an absence but a returning, a softโ€‘footed presence that gathers what has drifted from your center. When you meet it with open listening, Spirit can place quiet gifts in your hands that only silence knows how to carry.

โœจInvitation: What part of you is ready to be returned by stillness?

This journey invites you to sit in the hush long enough to notice what Spirit is placing back into your keeping.

Text on Image: โ€œStillness is a quiet visitor who returns the parts of you that wandered too far. In its presence, you remember the old ways of listening, the ways that let Spirit slip small gifts into your waiting hands. And when you rise from stillness, you carry something newly gathered, something that knows its way home.โ€

My buddy Fear came around this morning. As soon as I recognized him, I said hello.

โ€œGood morning,โ€ I said. โ€œI appreciate you coming in. Looks like you brought your whole family today; all the Fears. I know you all really want to protect me and that means a lot. Will you please take the whole family and go guard the back door? That would really help!โ€

Then I get focused on the here and now and what I was doing.
This little conversation has been getting fear out of my way quite effectively these days.

I am very grateful for this. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒˆ

I actually wrote the main idea of each thing in my journal. Yes, they are basic things that I know and practice, but it never hurts to be reminded of the simple things that make life peaceful. Blessings my friends. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒˆ

A gratitude practice can become very rote, almost like making a grocery list. I often make a list of things I am grateful for because I know it puts me in a more positive state of mind. Yet, I have done it so many times, it can be like taking out the garbage or eating my vegetables.

The last few days I have made it a point to stop and feel the gratitude. Instead of trying to see how many things I can think of to be grateful for, I have taken the time to think of just one thing and FEEL the gratitude.

From a metaphysical standpoint, this is a more effective approach. It is the FEELING that creates a vibration that attracts more of what one is grateful for. Sometimes this is easy to do, sometimes not so much. But I do what I can.

Gratitude is spiritual magic, it is true, and has gotten me through some very, very difficult times.

It is often said, โ€œThere is always something to be grateful for.โ€

May you be blessed with grace, beauty, and all things that make you grateful, friends.

LETTING GO:

Today I visited a small outlet of the river that I often go to for the purpose of letting go of many things, some of which were never mine to carry.

On the way to the river, I called upon the Goddess of the Water, my main spirit guide and expressed my desire to release the weight of burdens I have carried for far too long.

There were tears before I even got there. The ritual itself (I stood in the water and poured some herbs and flowers into the flowing stream) went fast, because it was very hot for me and I couldnโ€™t stay long. But intention is everything, and even rushed it will be effective.

This will not be the last time I do this. Many of us are carrying the pain of others, generations of suffering, disease, lack, and beliefs about the world and ourselves. We donโ€™t have to keep it all in our bodies.

All it takes is a decision to start the process of letting it go. Yes, it is a process that takes dedication, determination, and perseverance. But it is worth it.

My prayer is that we will all continue to heal these things so the world can heal as well.

Love and Light to all! ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒˆ
