I am hiring for a School Bus Driver on a contract route. I pay $100-$150 per day cash! (For individuals with experience and already licensed $120-$170 a day) I take care of fueling the bus, cleaning and helping with any behavioral problems you may have. I support you and am not a micro manager. I am probably the best person you could work for.

In order to being a school bus driver you will need a CDL class B with passenger endorsement & school bus endorsement as well as a yellow card signifying you have completed the annual school bus safety certification.

If you don’t already have this I am able to help you obtain these needed credentials but there is a bit of leg work on your part that you must do beforehand which involves going to the license branch and getting a permit. To do so you will need to take some tests (CDL General Knowledge, School Bus Endorsement & Passenger Endorsement) Air Brake would also be beneficial as well. If you fail a test one day you can go back the next day until you have completed & passed all the needed tests. These are Free to take by the way!
You will also need to obtain a DOT Physical from any MEC or Urgent Care.
One you have completed the tests and submitted your DOT Physical to the license branch you may then obtain a permit and from there I can help train you to get your license.

Unfortunately this is what’s required by the state and federal governments to be able to operate a school bus and I have no control over those requirements. I am willing to help you through the process after you obtain your permit which is the biggest hurdle getting most people to do.

The job though is worth it! A couple hours in the morning usually 6:30am - 8:30am and then a couple hours in the afternoon 2:00pm -4:00pm with opportunities in the middle part of the day and or evenings.
