Seriously, don't be embarrassed. This happens ALL the time. We've been conditioned to think that there is a giant gush of a gallon of fluid that falls on the floor as soon as your water breaks and you are supposed to then run to the hospital and immediately push your baby out. That just isn't how things work in the real world most of the time, thank goodness because holy moly that seems incredibly dramatic. Keep calm, keep learning, & keep in communication with your provider. I promise you won't be pregnant forever.
