Yeah Beans! 🫘🫘🫘

The actor everyone knows as Kevin Bacon is temporarily ditching his famous surname to become Kevin "Bean."

It is the centerpiece of a new Humane World for Animals campaign called Beansday, which nudges people to swap animal products for beans every Wednesday.

The idea is simple, a little silly, and genuinely effective: one easy switch, one day a week, multiplied across millions of plates.

Beans are cheap, filling, loaded with protein, and they never required a slaughterhouse.

If a Hollywood icon can give up "Bacon" for the cause, the rest of us can surely give up the real thing once a week.

I was excited to see this information at Fresh Thyme Market! Everyone is worried about protein today; but no one talks about the importance of Fiber! Do you know that you should be eating 40 grams of fiber a day!
Fiber is a vital plant nutrient that promotes digestive health, stabilizes blood sugar, lowers cholesterol, and supports weight management, and remember fiber is only in plant foods!

Today it was sourdough bread from Costco, homemade tofu cream cheese, dill pickles, fresh Argula, sautéd cabbage and red onion!
Deliciious!
