It has been a while since I have updated here. This one is worth a post and a celebration because I am officially at FOUR YEARS CANCER FREE 💃✨ May 17th marks four years since leiomyosarcoma was given the boot from my uterus. And my uterus was given the boot from my body. My life has changed so much since then. If you knew me then, you might not know me now. Having a rare and aggressive form of cancer before age 40 showed me I’m a warrior and a survivor.
I feel great. I’ve been on a journey to a healthy, peaceful and fulfilled life. To those of you rooting me on, I’ll forever be grateful. I’m so blessed to have this support system and all of this love.
I am officially and happily divorced as of a few weeks ago. I am at peace with where I’m at, who I am, and who I have alongside me. I’m blissfully single. I’m so thankful to be here for every big and small moment with the people I love.
The path to get here has been treacherous. But I’m keeping a light on in my soul and bluebird in my heart. 🐦💙
