Excerpt from Dr Nathalie’s newsletter:

I remember so vividly in 2020 how much the world was centered on antiracism. There were lots of book recommendations and conversations. What really changed as a result of all those conversations? Is anti-blackness significantly less? Are police held more accountable for harm done? Is our legal system more just? Are immigrants less terrorized by ICE? Is our educational system better? Do we have universal healthcare? Have we redistributed resources in a meaningful way? Are we boycotting companies that are contributing to harm and do not align with our values?

New Race Talk series starts in September in my Antiracism Revolution online community. The community started in April 2022 and has evolved as I have transformed. We have been moving from theory to action. Continuing to build somatic resources to show up for this fight for collective liberation. We are answering the question of :"what are the material changes you are making to move us closer to collective liberation and a more just world?"

What does it mean to challenge the comfort, structure, and culture of whiteness?
What is the intersection of race and class?
How does settler colonialism live inside of you?
What are you willing to risk?
Sorting through propaganda.
Building political education.
Building communities of resistance and collective action.

Reflections on Mother’s Day from Amy Young

“To those who gave birth this year to their first child-we celebrate with you

To those who lost a child this year - we mourn with you

To those who are in the trenches with little ones every day and wear the badge of food stains - we appreciate you

To those who experienced loss this year through miscarriage, failed adoptions, or running away-we mourn with you

To those who walk the hard path of infertility, fraught with pokes, prods, tears, and disappointment - we walk with you. Forgive us when we say foolish things. We don't mean to make this harder than it is.

To those who are foster moms, mentor moms, and spiritual moms - we need you

To those who have warm and close relationships with your children - we celebrate with you

To those who have disappointment, heart ache, and distance with your children - we sit with you

To those who lost their mothers this year - we grieve with you

To those who experienced abuse at the hands of your own mother - we acknowledge your experience

To those who lived through driving tests, medical tests, and the overall testing of motherhood - we are better for having you in our midst

To those who will have emptier nests in the upcoming year - we grieve and rejoice with you

And to those who are pregnant with new life, both expected and surprising -we anticipate with you

This Mother's Day, we walk with you. Mothering is not for the faint of heart and we have real warriors in our midst. We remember you." ~ Amy Young

This isn’t just about managing stress.

It’s about finally putting down what you were never meant to carry alone.

Release limiting identities

Reconnect with themselves beyond roles

Feel seen, heard, and not alone
