Any whole-food advocate will recognize this brand as they are a solid replacement for the classic (and not so whole-food based) General Mills cereals. HOWEVER, Seven Sundays has been in some hot water recently regarding just how clean and toxin-free they are... Here’s the breakdown of what's going on:

🥣 The Good News: If you are buying their Oat Protein Cereal line, you are totally fine! Those products are third-party tested and certified Glyphosate Residue Free by The Detox Project.
⚠️ The Bad News: Independent labs recently found trace amounts of glyphosate in their grain-free Sunflower Cereal line (specifically the Maple flavor).

Why did this happen? Historically, crops like sunflowers and cassava were considered "low risk" for weedkillers compared to oats, so Seven Sundays didn't prioritize certifying that specific line. But as glyphosate use has expanded across the agricultural industry, it's starting to contaminate crops we never used to worry about.

The Takeaway: Seven Sundays has already released a statement saying they are immediately expanding their testing to get the sunflower line certified, too. For now, if you want to stay strictly glyphosate-free, stick to their oat-based boxes and hold off on the sunflower line until the new test results drop!

Is your raw cheese actually raw, or has it been greenwashed?? 🧀

The raw cheese grocery store staple Organic Valley has a teeny-tiny statement on the back that you may not have seen... "To achieve the optimal flavor, we heat the milk to 158°F for 15 seconds."

How can they claim to sell a raw cheese and then heat it for any amount of time? When milk is heated past 110F, all the natural microbiology, vitamins, and minerals die off and totally changes what cheese and milk SHOULD be.

‼️‼️ Be aware of this greenwashing tactic!
