So many of our friends and family got together and celebrated Matthew’s life tonight. Our family is grateful for every second of tonight. We appreciate each and every single thing that our community of Fairdale has done. We love being with each of you. While we all have a huge part of us missing, tonight we celebrated a man that was so amazing, so kind, and so talented. A man that loves each of you for you. Matthew would always tell me that he and I are better together. I’ve been so blessed to have spent time with my best friend every day for the past 17 months. I look forward to spending time with you all for the rest of my life. Thank you all so much. Sincerely, Elisha and family. ❤️

The outpouring of love we have experienced in the past two weeks has been hard to describe. Every person that Matt touched, has touched our family again and brought us closer to him. We all knew he was a man of action and no words could describe the love he brought to people and to this earth. He loss is deafening, but through our community that he loves so dearly, we have quickly come to realize that they also love us and will do anything to ease our pain. We appreciate all the kindness, words of encouragement, donations, and most importantly the love. We love each of you just as much as he did.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service at 3pm EST will be limited to 35 in person attendees. We know that others may wish to view Matthew’s service so we will be having virtual viewing at the link listed below. Please note, visitors are NOT limited before and after the service, the only time we are restricted is during SERVICES happening between 3-4pm EST. Face masks are encouraged before 5pm but become mandatory after 5pm in Kentucky. We have masks that we are providing at the funeral home if you need one. Today will be difficult but please take a moment and remember that we are saying goodbye to a fantastic man who loved completely and without hesitation. Be kind, and love each other as completely as Matt loved us. My family and I wish to express our sincere thanks for all of the support you have given us. ❤️

A full 7 days without you. It’s felt like an eternity. We so appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, love and support that has been poured out for our family. We have really difficult days ahead, and adjusting will not be any easier, but we are not alone, Matt touched so many lives and lives on in each smile, each story and the laughter that comes with remembering his life. We will always be better together.

We appreciate all the offers for help and kind words. Our minds are currently occupied so we can’t get everyone a good task list, but this is a start. Our kids love to eat and cooking was dad’s thing so it’s still a little hard to get through at the moment. We thank each and every one of you for all you are doing. You’re in our thoughts♥️

Matt unexpectedly passed away on July 1. He loved his family so much so we are tying to ensure that they are taken care of. Matt loved to cook for his family and have meal time together. Came to our shop just to feel closer to you baby, and someone has already found a way to show their love for you, for our family, and our shop. You are so loved, by so many. Tonight a huge blow has been dealt to our shop, our friends, and our family. I can’t possible reach each person individually, and I realize this is a crappy way to announce this but my energy must be focused on our children, so this is the easier way to communicate at the moment.
Matthew was in a fatal accident today. To say that our entire world has been turned inside out is an understatement. Please know that Matthew Voris loved being a tattoo artist. He loves his friends that he got to help create expressive art with. This is devastating to me, to those who love him, and the loss of his presence is suffocating. I need a few days to process and prepare and just be with our children. Arrangements will be posted as soon as they are made. Please, hug your loved ones tighter, say I love you to them, often. Life is so fleeting. Just be kind to one another. Matt would want it that way. Gone but never forgotten. Thank you for understanding. -Elisha
