5 years, hundreds of custom bracing molds, and one legendary shirt later… it’s officially time to retire this staple of Kristian’s (Senior Orthotist) wardrobe!🧼✂️

When our orthotists create a custom brace, they apply plaster over a patient’s torso mold (not the patient!! 😅) to hand-sculpt every detail for a precise, comfortable fit. It’s hands-on, meticulous work—and as you can see, the plaster definitely leaves its mark!

Thank you for 5 years of hard work, dedicated care, and endless plaster splashes. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement, shirt! 👕✨

Meet 11-year-old Clara! 💚

Clara was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 9 and initially started in a different brace. When her curves continued to progress, her family brought her to National Scoliosis Center.

With her custom Rigo Chêneau brace and absolute dedication to wearing it, Clara reversed her curves from the 20s down to 11 degrees! She’s now getting fit for her 2nd Rigo Chêneau brace to accommodate her growth.

Clara has completely embraced her journey—from proudly wearing her brace over her clothes to rocking all green as a Higgy Bears advocate at Higgy Con.

We couldn’t be prouder of your hard work and bright spirit, Clara! Keep shining! ✨

Sisters in life, partners in their scoliosis journey.

Having scoliosis is always easier when you have a strong support system by your side—especially when that support includes your sister!

Hope, Director and primary Certified Orthotist in our Houston, Texas office, loved working with these two amazing sisters on their custom bracing journey.

Every spine tells a unique story, but navigating treatment together makes all the difference. Thank you both for trusting us with your care!💚

When Rachel first came to us for her custom brace, she was facing a 3-year journey that required grit, patience, and resilience. Little did she know that very experience would help forge the athlete she is today! Rachel’s story was recently featured by the Women's Lacrosse League, showcasing photos of her making her very first brace with Luke Stikeleather (our Chief Orthotist and Founder)—a powerful reminder that wearing a brace doesn’t mean benching your dreams. With the right custom bracing and care team, young athletes can stay active, competitive, and strong.

Knowing that D1 and professional athletes have walked in these exact shoes gives so much hope to the young scoliosis warriors walking through our doors today. We are so proud of you, Rachel and grateful to you and your family for letting us share your story! 💚 ✨
