Just two products and the right approach๐
This is one of our favorite skincare before + afters because the change youโre seeing in her skin came from adding just two products to her routine: Epicutis Lipid Serum + Hydrinity Vivid Brightening Serum.
Her skin barrier had become disrupted from over-exfoliation. And this is where understanding how inflammation can present across different skin tones becomes SO important.
In lighter skin tones, barrier disruption and inflammation may be easier to recognize as redness, pinkness and visible irritation.
In melanin-rich skin, inflammation can also trigger noticeable changes in pigmentation, including areas that appear darker or lighter than the surrounding skin.
And that can create a frustrating cycle.
You see uneven pigment โ you exfoliate more โ the barrier becomes increasingly compromised โ inflammation continues โ the pigment looks even more uneven.
So instead of getting more aggressive, we did the opposite.
We focused on barrier support!

Not every dark spot needs an aggressive brightener.
Not every rough texture needs an exfoliating acid.
And not every area of hypopigmentation is necessarily permanent.
