Spidola Paranormal Association A Northern Virginia paranormal research group

The Spidola Paranormal Association (SPA) was formed in an effort to both communicate with those that have an interest or involved with paranormal research, to share any potential evidence that anyone gathers for critiquing/support, and to help teach interested parties about paranormal research and how to assess/debunk potential evidence. The SRA also assists those that may be experiencing paranorm

al activity by investigating their home/office, assessing if the location is haunted or not, and what steps could be done to alleviate the problem (if you feel there is one).

Hello everyone! It's been quite awhile since I have done any ghost hunts, but this site was not forgotten. I am currently in Afghanistan, and should be returning in July. As soon as I get back, I will try to get started again on more hunting. Any places in mind for where I should go next? I'm thinking a return to Gettysburg in in order.

Well everyone! Still going through the audio which is taking a very long time. I have 5 more hours of audio to listen to as well as 8 hours of video to look at. There is also a second spot I'll be checking out on the way back home. On Wednesday, I'm going to the Edgewood Plantation near Richmond, Virginia. So this will definitly keep me busy after. I'm also going to see if I can check out the plantation itself as well as the grounds. No video would be allowed inside the house though or pictures.

Hello everyone! I'm still looking at all this data before setting up the video and making my assessment , but I will say two interesting things that happened. 1: I lost my balance somewhow, and fell through a window (good times). 2: My mom (who slept inside the cottage the whole time) said she saw a mist move by a camera I set up, got bigger, and then disappear. So hopefully my mom's claim is backed up by the camera I set up.

Also to give you an update of the Myrtles my cousin has backed down which leaves me doing the investigation alone again. If the lighting works out, and as log as my batteries don't drain again, I'm going to attempt to videotape the entire investigation for you. Also, in the near future, I plan to make a recording of my plan of attack prior to investigating as well as you seeing how I go about analyzing the data after the investigation (hopefully this part won't bore you...lol). I just want enthusiasts to fully understand how to go about preparing, conducting (using my style), and analyzing an investigation.

Hey gang! I was wondering if you could help me in making heads or tails out of this picture. I recieved this picture of myself from one of the members of the group that attended the asylum investigation. Notice the disfigurement of my face and left shoulder strap. At first I figured it was just a jerk of the camera until I looked at the surrounding environment. The chairs, the finger pointing towards me, and even the EMF detector in my right hand looks perfectly fine. So I ask what do you make of this picture? Is there anything natural you can think of that could've resulted in something like this being produced?

Hello everyone! Just made it to New Orleans! If I can have the time, I'll try to check out something in this city. Growing up here, I know that if there was ever a city that can be labeled the most haunted location in America this would have to be it. Numerous battles were fought over the city, multiple hurricanes that caused destruction and death, multiple plagues infested the city, and the city was burned to the ground multiple times. Along with the deaths caused by crime, this city is a literal breeding ground for the paranormal.

Well gang! Just letting you know I'm currently heading to Louisiana. Just stopped at Fort Payne, Alabama for a little rest before continuing on. Once I get down there, I'm planning on doing some homework before hitting the location. I'll let you know what I find. Hmm...I wonder if I can get a historian to talk about this place on camera for ya? How sweet would that be!

News update! To let you guys know, in the future we will be getting another pieve of evidence from the trans-allegheny lunatic asylum (I love this place!...lol). When we were investigating the children's section of the asylum, I got agitated from not hearing or seeing anything so I made a nice long statement to all the spirits that if they think we could hurt them...we can't, if you think we could see you....we can't, etc. As I was ranting on, Dan got ganged up on by some spirits basically. The EMF detector he was holding steadily increased from 0.5 to 2.9, and he go very cold and started to have trouble breathing once the 2.9 spike came along.

I thought that was the end of it, and there was nothing I could show you about it. Little did I know, Dan had a recording of it which has what he described as a scream. So once that gets in my hands then I'll show it to you. Pretty psyched about it becuase it'll have four pieces of data to support it: Audio, EMF SPikes, chills, and breathing trouble at the highest spike.

Also just to let you know, I'm scouting for all kinds of locations to investigate in the future. So far my list is the Crownesville asylum in Maryland, Moundsville Penetentiary in West Virginia, and Bull Run near Manassas, Virginia. I'm also thinking of going back to Gettysburg in the same fashion that I'm going to hit Bull Run....get a camping license, get a campsite going (base camp), and spend the night out there like that

So, if there's anyone intrested that would like to participate in these future investigations then just let me know. I don't forsee these taking place for a couple of months due to weather, and my vacation to Louisiana for the Myrtles Plantation and my family.
