Returning to the places that shaped you
has a way of quieting the noise.
But sometimes, the silence tells you how
much has changed.
The streets feel slower now.
The voices are softer.
The people who once felt larger than
life are growing older.
And somehow, the places that held our happiest memories also hold the beginnings of the wounds we spend a lifetime trying to heal.
Childhood is strange like that — it gives us our purest joy and our deepest lessons at the same time.
