If you or someone you know is having trouble getting access to fresh food, CommuniCare+OLE is here to help.

Every third Friday of the month, we host a free food distribution open to the whole community. Fresh produce, dry goods, and pet food courtesy of Jameson Humane.

This June, the third Friday falls on a holiday β€” so we moved our date to make sure no one misses out. See the updated dates for each location below:

A huge thank you to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles for donating household essentials to the clients we serve at Mercy Housing in West Sacramento! 🏠

Our team works on-site every day to support people who are rebuilding their lives after homelessness. Gifts like this remind our clients that their community sees them and cares. 🧑

✨ Patient Spotlight: When Heliodoro lost his work hours, they lost their health coverage and his serious health conditions went untreated because they simply couldn't afford care. Then a coworker mentioned CommuniCare+OLE. πŸ’™

They found coverage they didn't know they qualified for, and Heliodoro finally got the care he needed at little to no cost.

We are so proud of our board member Zen Hunter-Ishikawa, who accepted the Solano County Board of Supervisors' resolution recognizing May 2026 as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Solano County.

Today we celebrate the earth β€” and we do it every day through the power of community gardens. 🌻
Our gardens aren’t just about growing food. They’re about growing health, connection, and hope in our communities.

From the Darioush Community Garden in Napa (where tomatoes, figs, and sunflowers thrive) πŸ… to the Food Is Medicine Garden in Woodland (distributing 3,000 lbs of fresh produce to patients every year!) πŸ₯¦ to our newest Salud Garden in West Sacramento β€” proof that food can grow anywhere, even on concrete 🌿 β€” we’re putting down roots for healthier communities.

This Earth Day, we’re reminded that caring for the earth and caring for people go hand in hand. πŸ’š
