Handwriting skills require motor skill development well before sitting at a desk. A moving body paired with hand skills build core muscle groups and fine motor control, helping children write more easily and confidently.

Performing large shapes and pre-writing skills using large surfaces, various textures, and active engagement outside of seated tasks all contribute to development.

This approach supports not only handwriting but the child's overall motor skills and brain connections, that build writing skills.

If you notice your child struggling with writing, consider how diverse activities might help them progress beyond the desk.
