Love seeing myofunctional therapy gaining more mainstream attention 🙌
This is a great beginner-friendly article explaining what myofunctional therapy is and why it matters for breathing, sleep, oral function, and overall health.
What I especially appreciate? It was reviewed by Dr. Brandon Peters, a board-certified neurologist and sleep medicine specialist, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Seeing more collaboration and recognition from the sleep medicine world is exciting.
Many people are surprised to learn that concerns like mouth breathing, snoring, poor sleep, tongue thrust, TMJ symptoms, and orthodontic relapse may have an underlying functional component.
