I see what this quote is saying, and I might flip it to say:

“Sometimes the closer you are to Christianity, the further you can be from Christ.”

Not always. Not for everyone. And I say that only from the perspective of my own life, spiritual path, and relationship with Christ. 🤍

So hear me out… 🫂

I’m not saying Christianity is wrong, Christians are far from Christ, or that my path is the right path for anyone else.

I deeply love and respect people from all walks of life—Christian, spiritual, religious, nonreligious, questioning, seeking, and everything in between.

I only know what has been true for me.

There have been seasons when becoming more immersed in religion actually took me further away from the heart of Christ.

More church trauma.
More rules.
More concern about being “right.”
More loneliness inside communities I thought I was supposed to belong in.
More separation from unconditional love.

And yet, the closer I’ve come to Christ Himself, the more I’ve been called toward:

Love.
Compassion.
Humility.
Truth.
Courage.
Freedom.
Inner transformation.
Reverence for the sacredness and humanity within others.

Part of my soul’s journey has been learning to distinguish between following Christianity as a system and following Christ as a way of life.

Sometimes they beautifully coexist.

Sometimes they don’t.

I’m still learning, questioning, discerning, and deepening my relationship with Original Creator.

I don’t claim to hold the ultimate spiritual truth for anyone else—and I genuinely love that I don’t. 🥰🤍

I simply want to know Christ beyond what anyone has told me Christ is.

To study Christ’s life.
To live His teachings.
To know our Original Creator directly.
And to let the fruits of that relationship speak louder than any spiritual label I could place upon myself.

And I’m willing to fail miserably at it. 😂 To miss the mark, learn, grow, and keep choosing the path anyway. What a gift it is to be fully human. ☺️💗

The deeper I go, the more I understand that expansion is not only about reaching for more light.

Sometimes the most sacred growth happens in the descent. ✨

Into the roots.
Into the grief.
Into the wounds.
Into the parts of yourself you learned to exile, suppress, abandon, or hide in order to survive.

There are seasons where life is not asking you to rise higher yet.

It is asking you to go deeper.

To meet yourself beneath the masks.
To bring loving awareness to what has been buried.
To reclaim the pieces of yourself you left behind.
To let our Original Creator meet you in the places you once believed were too dark, messy, human, or wounded to be holy.

Because your roots matter.

A tree cannot sustainably reach toward the stars without first becoming deeply rooted in the earth. 🌿

And maybe that is part of what true embodiment is:

Not escaping the darkness in pursuit of the light…

but by integrating enough to hold both truth and tenderness as you allow the light of Christ to illuminate what is ready to be seen.

The deeper your roots of inner wisdom, self-trust, healing, and remembrance grow…

the more securely you can expand into the person you were created to become.

You do not have to transcend your humanity to become more spiritual.

You get to descend deeply enough into yourself that your spirituality becomes embodied in this body, in this lifetime.

Root deeply.
Remember who you are.
Let what is false fall away.
And keep growing toward the Light. 🤍🌿✨

To the version of me who used to believe she had to carry everything silently…

You were never meant to.

Your voice was meant to be sung with your unique signature vibrational soul essence. ✨

It was also meant for releasing.
For grieving.
For praying.
For remembering.
For coming home.

Today therapy opened a door inside of me.

So instead of closing it back up…

I sang.

Not because I felt okay.

But because I wanted my heart to know it didn’t have to carry everything alone anymore.

Healing isn’t becoming someone who never hurts.

I feel it’s becoming someone who knows how to lovingly meet yourself when you do.

So if you needed permission today…

This is it. 🫂🫶🏻

You’re not too much.

And your voice deserves to take up space. ✨💫💗

I don’t sing because I’m a singer.

I sing because there are things my heart knows that words cannot explain.

Last night, under the full moon, I sat with my drum, the ocean, and the Divine.

No agenda.
No striving.
No becoming.

Just remembering.

Maybe that’s what healing really is 🫂🌕💗✨

If you’ve been feeling the call to slow down, listen more deeply, and reconnect with the truth of your heart, this is your reminder:

You were never meant to rush through this life.

You were meant to feel it. To sing it. To embody it.
