Dr. Tim & Dr. Brandon had a sunny Friday at the Disability Action-Center Golf Tournament! At Elevate we are longtime supporters of the DAC and we are always ready to support their services and growth! This event is their biggest fundraiser and always a great time for all.

Couldn’t make it, but want to support them too? The DAC just launched their Builders Fund to get their latest and greatest project across the finish line: The DAC-Wilfong Wellness Center! Your donation will help them greater service those with disabilities in the NCWV region! Make your donation here: http://bit.ly/4vR9a4b

📢FAQ Friday📢

Question: Should I use ice or heat on my injury?

Answer: The general rule: 🧊ice🧊 for new injuries, 🔥heat🔥 for chronic pain. If something happened in the last 48–72 hours and there’s swelling, redness, or heat coming off the area, use ice for 15–20 minutes to reduce inflammation. If your pain is ongoing: a stiff neck, achy back, or tight muscles that have bothered you for weeks, heat helps relax tissue and increase blood flow. When in doubt, ask your Therapist. Applying the wrong one won’t cause serious harm, but the right choice will speed up your recovery!

📢FAQ Friday!📢

Question: Is it normal to feel sore after PT?

Answer: Yes, and it’s actually a good sign most of the time. When we work muscles and tissues that haven’t been moving well, they respond the way they would after a workout: mild soreness 24–48 hours later. This is called delayed onset muscle soreness, and it means your body is adapting. The key difference to watch for is sharp, shooting, or joint pain during or right after your session ➡️that’s worth telling your therapist about. If you’re just achy and tired, drink water, rest well, and trust the process!
