⚾️ The Washington Nationals brought some extra fun to Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital this week!

Nationals players Jacob Young, Andrew Alvarez, Cade Cavalli and Drew Millas spent time with pediatric patients and families. They talked about baseball and sports, favorite toys and movies, and answered plenty of curious questions. 😊

Good luck to the Nats in today's game in L.A. 💪

Ten years ago, a devastating sledding accident left Bensten with a severe traumatic brain injury and a long road to recovery. Today, the 18-year-old is a competitive cross-country runner with an offer to run at the collegiate level – and he's considering a career in physical therapy. 🏃

His journey inspired his sister, Izzy, to become a nurse in the same Inova Children's Emergency Department where Bensten received lifesaving care. ❤️

From heart care to home runs. ⚾ Former cardiac patients from Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital had a fun day at the Washington Nationals game.

These incredible kids enjoyed some amazing moments at the ballpark. Ava delivered the perfect first pitch, nearly a year after undergoing a minimally invasive cardiac procedure. Harvey, Max and Dominic also joined in on the fun. 🎙️ And who knows? Dominic might just be the Nationals' next PA announcer. 🤞
