CEREBRAL PALSY & HBOT: WHAT DR. PAUL HARCH WANTS FAMILIES TO KNOW

For families living with cerebral palsy (CP), hope is often measured in milestones: a few more independent steps, improved balance, clearer speech, better coordination, greater independence.

What if we could look beyond simply managing the symptoms of cerebral palsy and ask a different question:

**What healing potential may still exist within the injured brain?**

In his interview with **Shelby Latino of Fox 8 Live**, Dr. Paul G. Harch discusses the emerging science behind Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), oxygen medicine, and neuroplasticity—and how this research is changing the conversation surrounding cerebral palsy.

Dr. Harch explains that HBOT is more than simply delivering oxygen. Under carefully controlled hyperbaric conditions, oxygen can act as a biological signal involved in processes such as blood-vessel formation, inflammation regulation, cellular energy production, and tissue repair.

And now, research is providing new evidence to examine.

A recent analysis comparing HBOT with commonly used cerebral palsy therapies found a substantially greater effect on motor function with HBOT than the average effect of the therapies evaluated—including physical therapy, intensive physical therapy, Botox, stem cells, hippotherapy, and dorsal rhizotomy.

That doesn't mean HBOT is a cure for cerebral palsy. It doesn't mean every individual will respond the same way.

It does mean that **the science deserves a closer look.**

Dr. Harch has spent decades investigating how oxygen medicine may help injured brain tissue function more effectively by supporting the brain’s remarkable capacity for neuroplasticity.

**Cerebral palsy is not a progressive injury. The question is whether injured brain tissue can be supported toward greater function.**

The conversation is changing.
