I am looking to hire a Parent Support and Outreach Coordinator to join Encompass Early Intervention!
Are you a parent whose child has received North Dakota Part C Early Intervention services? Have you ever wished you could use your own experiences to help another family navigate the early years of their child’s development? This may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
We believe that parents bring a unique perspective to Early Intervention. Sometimes, the most meaningful support comes from someone who has walked a similar path and understands the questions, emotions, and challenges families may experience.
Position Details
-Hybrid position, with office time
at home
-20 hours per week
-Opportunity to grow into full-
time as the program expands or
with approved outline (see
below)
-No college degree required
-$23/hr
-Travel will be required for
Outreach.
What You’ll Do
-Work with our Marketing team to develop and share family-centered, developmentally appropriate resources through social media, blogs, our monthly newsletter, and other communication channels.
-Help identify and share resources appropriate for families navigating prenatal diagnoses, NICU experiences, and the birth-to-three years.
-Plan and host family and parent group events.
-Provide emotional support to parents and help connect families with community resources.
-Assist families with paperwork and informal and formal referrals to other community services and supports.
-Coordinate parent education opportunities, including arranging guest speakers.
-Build relationships with medical providers, hospitals, NICUs, and potential referral sources.
-Partner with professionals to strengthen connections and support for families.
-Coordinate community booths, presentations, and outreach opportunities.
-Represent Encompass Early Intervention at community events and activities.
-Travel as needed for outreach and community engagement.
-Manage and budget for mileage, family activities, outreach events, and other program-related expenses outside of wages.
What I’m Looking For
-A parent whose child has received North Dakota Part C Early Intervention services. This is a must-have qualification.
-Someone compassionate, family-centered, dependable, and passionate about helping other families.
-A highly organized individual who understands the importance of documentation, communication, and follow-through.
-Someone comfortable building relationships, collaborating with professionals, and connecting families to resources.
-A strong communicator who can help families feel welcomed, supported, and informed.
-Someone who is comfortable representing Encompass Early Intervention throughout the community.
*For someone with personal experience navigating a prenatal diagnosis with their own child, there may also be an opportunity to receive specialized training to support families prenatally as they prepare for their baby’s birth and plan for the transition into parenthood and Early Intervention services.
No degree is required. Your lived experience as a parent whose child received Part C Early Intervention Services from any ND provider is what matters most.

I’m interested in hearing your ideas for working with hospitals, NICUs, medical providers, connecting with families receiving a prenatal diagnosis, and other community partners to help families learn about the resources available through Encompass Early Intervention.
