An infant’s skin is much more sensitive than an adult’s, making it easier to burn during summer outings. For babies under 6 months, shade, lightweight clothing, and hats are the best defense against the sun. For older infants, sunscreen can be an important part of staying protected during outdoor play and family adventures.

Whether you're heading to the park, the lake, or just spending time in the backyard, a little sun safety can help keep your baby comfortable and protected all summer long.

Can your child do all of the following? 👶💛

• Roll from tummy to back and back again
• Push up on straight arms during tummy time
• Sit while supporting themselves with their hands
• Take weight on their feet when held standing

Around 6 months, many babies are becoming stronger, more mobile, and eager to explore the world around them. Remember, every child develops at their own pace, but these are some common gross motor milestones to watch for as your little one grows.

Today we’re celebrating National Baby-Led Weaning Day! 🥕👶 This day is all about encouraging babies to explore food at their own pace and build confidence with self-feeding when they’re ready. It’s a great reminder that introducing solids is a milestone meant to be supported, not rushed. We love seeing little ones discover new textures, tastes, and skills one bite at a time.

At around 2 months old, feeding and sleep routines are still very new for both babies and parents. 💤🧸

These milestones may include latching onto the ni**le or bottle, sucking, swallowing, and breathing smoothly during feedings, along with typically drinking about 4–5 oz every 3–4 hours. Sleep at this age is still short and unpredictable, and frequent waking is completely normal as babies begin to develop early sleep patterns.

We know summer schedules can make routines feel a bit harder with longer days, travel, and extra activity. Just remember, these early months are all about learning, adjusting, and finding a rhythm that works for you and your little one.
