You can understand exactly where a pattern came from, recognize it while it's happening and still find yourself doing the same damn thing.

That doesn't mean the awareness was useless. It means understanding something and changing the subconscious associations underneath it aren't always the same process.

This is where so much of my work lives. We follow the pattern underneath the pattern, get curious about what it's protecting, and work with what actually comes forward rather than trying to think our way out of something we've already thought about a thousand times.

If you know the why but still can't seem to change the response, come see me. 💚

Distance Reiki is one of those things that can sound a little strange until you've experienced it, and the way I work with it goes beyond simply sending Reiki from afar.

My personalized sessions include Reiki alongside the intuitive information I notice as I move through your energy, followed by a written reflection so you can receive everything in your own time.

If you'd rather skip the intuitive piece and simply receive consistent Reiki for a while, my 21-Day Reiki Reset is there for that too.

There isn't a better or more healing option, just a matter of what kind of support feels right for you right now.

Message me REIKI and we'll figure it out together.

You don't need to diagnose yourself before you come see me, choose your modality or explain your entire life perfectly so I know where to begin.

Some women come in knowing exactly what they want to work on, and some sit down and say, “I don't know, I just know something isn't right.”

Both are enough information to start.

We'll talk, I'll listen to what you're saying and pay attention to what's underneath it, and we'll follow the thread from there. Sometimes that takes us into Clinical Hypnotherapy, sometimes another modality makes more sense, and sometimes what you thought you came in for isn't actually where we end up.

You bring yourself. I'll bring the tools. We'll figure out the rest together. 💚

Clinical Hypnotherapy is one of those things that people think they understand until we actually start talking about what it can be used for. Most people still associate hypnosis with quitting smoking, losing weight or maybe getting over a fear of flying, and yes, hypnosis has been used for all of those things, but that barely scratches the surface of what I was trained to work with.

My training includes everything from anxiety, grief and confidence work to pain management, pregnancy and childbirth, regression, Core Issue Clearing and subconscious pattern work. It also includes some of the more spiritual pieces you see here, like Past Life Regression, Higher Self work and Akashic Records, which probably explains why Clinical Hypnotherapy fit so naturally into what eventually became EmBodhi Shakti.

That doesn't mean I pull out a giant menu when you sit down with me and ask you to choose which technique sounds fun. Most of the time, you come to me because something in your life isn't working anymore. Maybe you understand the pattern intellectually but can't seem to change it, you're responding to something in a way that doesn't make sense to you, or you simply know there's something underneath what you're experiencing and you haven't been able to reach it on your own.

That's where my work begins.

I'm listening to what you're telling me, but I'm also paying attention to what lives underneath it. We follow the thread, ask questions, notice where your mind and body take us, and then I use the tools I'm trained in based on you, rather than trying to fit you into a predetermined process.

Because you don't need to know what you need before you walk through our virtual doors. You just need to know what isn't working anymore.

We'll start there. 💚

The Good Girl isn’t always miserable.

Sometimes she has a really nice life.

She may have built a successful career, raised incredible kids, created beautiful friendships and become someone other people genuinely trust. She may be independent because she truly loves her independence, generous because generosity is part of who she is, and deeply considerate because she actually gives a s**t about the people in her life.

Which is where this whole conversation gets a little more complicated.

We tend to recognize patterns when they’re causing obvious problems. It’s much harder to question something that has been rewarded your entire life, especially when there are parts of it you genuinely LIKE about yourself.

I don’t want women walking into The Good Girl Funeral believing we’re going to spend eight hours digging through their personalities looking for everything that needs to be fixed. That sounds exhausting, and frankly, I have no interest in doing that either.

I want to look at the places where something being a beautiful part of you and something feeling required of you have gotten tangled together.

You can love being generous and still discover that somewhere along the way, giving became easier than receiving.

You can genuinely be independent and still realize there are moments when you’d really like someone else to take care of you.

And you can keep those parts of yourself.

The funeral isn’t about burying everything the Good Girl became. It’s about burying the requirement to be her.

That distinction matters to me, because I’m not interested in helping women trade one set of rules for a shinier, more “healed” set of rules. I want us to have more room to choose.

That’s what we’re doing October 18th.

The Good Girl Funeral is a full-day online retreat for six women. We’ll spend the day in conversation, education, somatic work, hypnosis, reflection and ritual, and yes, we are ending with an actual funeral. 🖤

So, what are we actually doing at a Good Girl Funeral?

While the name is fun and a little provocative, I'm not interested in spending eight hours convincing you that some part of you needs to die. Quite the opposite.

The Good Girl wasn't doing anything wrong. She learned how to maintain connection and belonging in the environments she grew up in, and somewhere along the way those ways of existing became rules for how she moved through the world. The problem is that we can be forty years old and still unconsciously living according to rules we learned when we were eight, even when they no longer fit the woman we've become.

That's what we're exploring October 18th.

We'll look at how the Good Girl formed in your life, where she still shows up today and what lives underneath those patterns. We'll use conversation and education, but we're not going to intellectualize the s**t out of it for eight hours either. Hypnosis, somatic work, reflection and ritual will help us bring what we understand in our minds into the body and subconscious where so much of this actually lives.

And because this is a retreat, there will be room to eat, breathe, laugh, integrate and simply be together too.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you need to work on, and you definitely don't need to figure out how to heal the Good Girl correctly before you come.

The funeral isn't for her. It's for the rules she no longer needs to live by.

We learn the rules of being a “good girl” really early, and most of the time nobody actually sits us down and tells us what those rules are. We figure them out by paying attention. We notice what gets praised, what gets a reaction, what makes things easier and what parts of ourselves seem to create a little more friction.

Which is actually a pretty normal part of growing up. We’re learning how relationships work at the same time we’re learning who we are.

The funny part is nobody comes along when we’re 25, 35 or 45 and says, “Hey, you know all that information you collected when you were eight? You might want to check if any of it needs updating.”

So we keep going, and some of those old rules become so familiar that they just feel like personality.

And I want to be careful here, because I don’t think every lovely quality a woman has needs to be picked apart until we find a wound underneath it. You might genuinely love taking care of people. You might actually be fiercely independent. You may LIKE being the capable one.

I’m much more curious about whether you feel you have a choice in the matter.

If being helpful made you “good,” can you choose not to help without feeling like you’ve done something wrong? If you learned to handle everything yourself, can you still let someone show up for you? If keeping the peace became familiar, what happens when what you want creates a little friction?

That’s where we start getting to know the Good Girl rather than simply calling everything people pleasing.

And it’s exactly why I wanted an entire day for this.

On October 18th, we’re going to look at the rules we learned, where they came from, how they’ve followed us into adulthood and which ones we’re ready to stop living by. We’ll use conversation, education, somatic work, hypnosis, reflection and ritual to actually work with what we find rather than just talking about it.

And yes, at the end of the day, we’re giving the Good Girl an actual funeral. 🖤

There's a reason I've been talking about the Good Girl.

We've spent the last couple of weeks getting curious about who she is, what she gave us and the quiet ways she still shows up in our lives long after we learned the rules that created her.

And now I can finally tell you where I've been going with all of this.

On October 18th, we're giving her a funeral.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 is a full-day online retreat for six women who are ready to spend a day exploring the woman they learned they needed to be, while creating space for the woman they actually are now.

And no, we're not gathering to destroy her.

I think the Good Girl deserves far more reverence than that.

She figured out how to belong in the world she was given. She learned what earned love, what kept connection intact and which parts of herself were easier for other people to receive. Some of those lessons became so deeply woven into who we are that we stopped realizing we were still following them.

This day is about meeting her there.

We'll spend our time together working through conversation, somatic practices, hypnosis, reflection and ritual as we explore where your Good Girl came from, what she has been protecting and what happens when you no longer need all of her rules.

And then we'll give her the funeral she deserves.

Not to bury who you are, but to honor who you needed to be while making room for who you're becoming.

How many times have you said, "I don't care, whatever you want is fine," when you did, in fact, care?

I've been thinking about the tiny ways the Good Girl shows up because I don't think self-abandonment always looks dramatic.

Sometimes it's choosing the restaurant you don't really want because someone else seems excited about it. It's rewriting a text three times so you don't sound upset, or agreeing to something and immediately feeling that little drop in your stomach afterward.

None of these moments seem particularly important on their own.

But I wonder what happens when we spend years automatically checking everyone else's comfort before we ever check in with ourselves.

Eventually, "What do I want?" can become a surprisingly difficult question to answer.

And I don't think the solution is suddenly refusing to compromise or making every decision about ourselves. Relationships require consideration, and sometimes we genuinely don't care where we eat.

The difference I'm interested in is choice.

Am I saying yes because I genuinely want to, or because saying no feels uncomfortable?

Am I easygoing because that's actually how I feel, or because having a preference means someone could be disappointed?

There is an enormous difference between choosing to accommodate someone and feeling responsible for keeping them comfortable.

The Good Girl can hide inside that difference for a very long time.

So pay attention this week, not only to the big boundaries, but to the tiny moments when you automatically look outside yourself before checking within.

You might be surprised by how often she shows up.

And yes... there is a reason I've been talking about her so much lately. ;)
