Ignoring pain doesn’t build toughness; it builds compensation.😮‍💨

When you push through discomfort without addressing the cause, your body doesn’t just “adapt” in a good way. It starts to shift how you move, often leading to stiffness, imbalance, and new areas of pain over time. We help you figure out where the pain is coming from and build a plan that actually improves how you move, not just how much you can tolerate.

If something keeps bothering you, it is worth getting it checked. Schedule an appointment with one of our experts today!

She’s one of the newer faces on the Bodyworks team—so if you haven’t met her yet, meet Kendra Karl, PT, DPT, CSCS! 👋

Outside of work, Kendra enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, going to baseball games, spending time outdoors, photography, golfing, and traveling. One of the things she values most about Bodyworks is the people and the atmosphere. From day one, she felt the positive, calming environment and the shared commitment to providing high-quality patient care and helping people reach their goals.

For Kendra, the most meaningful part of her work is building connections with patients and colleagues and seeing real improvements in a patient’s function—helping them hit milestones and celebrating those wins along the way. Her simple tip for today? Take a daily walk or find a physical activity you genuinely enjoy. 🚶‍♀️

We asked Kendra to share a thought that reflects what she enjoys most about helping others, and she shared this: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Dry needling gets a lot of attention, but it's not meant to be a standalone fix. At Bodyworks, we use dry needling as part of a bigger plan that may also include strength training, mobility work, and hands-on treatment. The goal isn't just temporary relief. It's helping you move better and address what's contributing to the problem in the first place.

Dry needling may help:
• Reduce pain
• Improve range of motion
• Increase blood flow to support healing

For some people, it's the piece that helps them move more comfortably so they can get back to doing the things they enjoy.

North Dakota summers sneak up on you. One day you’re fine, the next you realize you haven’t had enough water. Hydration matters more than most people think. It helps your joints move more smoothly, keeps muscles from tightening up, and supports recovery after activity in the heat.

If you’ve been feeling stiff, crampy, or just off lately, it might not be overdoing it. It could just be dehydration.

Hey guys… real talk—mobility usually isn’t the thing anyone thinks about until something starts feeling tight, stiff, or off. But it matters way more than most people realize. It’s not just flexibility. It’s how well your body actually moves and handles everyday loads.

A few simple checks can tell you a lot
• Leg raise control
• Shoulder reach
• Ankle mobility

If one of these feels off, it’s not a “bad score.” It’s just your body pointing out what needs a little attention before it turns into a bigger issue. Strength is great. But mobility is what keeps you moving well while you build it.

Maybe you've seen him, and if not... meet Drew Zimmerman, DPT, Director, Cert. MDT! 😎

Outside of Bodyworks, Drew spends most of his time with his five children—caravanning them to different activities. He also enjoys exercising and being outdoors whenever he gets the chance. One of his favorite parts of working at Bodyworks is the team environment and shared focus on high-quality, patient-centered care. He values working alongside others who are all focused on helping patients succeed. For Drew, the most meaningful part of his work is helping motivated patients reach their goals—whether that’s picking up their kids pain-free or getting back to the pickleball court.
