For a long time, wellness has taught us to fight our bodies.

Eat less.
Push harder.
Ignore the hunger.
Work through the exhaustion.
Start over Monday.
Try the next plan.

But what if the answer isn’t learning how to control your body better?

What if it’s learning how to understand it?

I believe wellness is about learning to work with your body instead of constantly working against it.

Your symptoms aren’t necessarily the enemy.
Your hunger isn’t a failure.
Your fatigue isn’t something to simply push through.
Your body isn’t broken because it isn’t responding the way you want it to.

Sometimes, your body is communicating.

And when you learn to listen, to understand the patterns, connect the dots, nourish yourself, move in ways that support you, recover, and actually pay attention to what your body is telling you, you stop chasing quick fixes.

You start building something sustainable.

That’s the kind of wellness I believe in.

Understand your body.
Work with your body.
Build a life your body can actually thrive in.

This is the work I’m building with Nirmana and soon to be……Rise Wellness.

Everyone asks what I eat everyday or why I eat the same thing every day…this is it and it’s simple.

Rice
Chicken
Brocolli
Pineapple
*Repeat….every day….because consistency creates safety in your body and consistency creates results.
This doesn’t looks the same for everyone, but it can be this simple.

As a personal trainer and functional nutrition counselor, one of the things I hear the most isā€¦ā€I don’t have timeā€
I’m here to challenge that…

If you feel like your days disappear before you even catch up… these time management strategies will help you take back your time and your energy.

You don’t need a more intense schedule, you need a more intentional one.

When you protect your time, you protect your health.
When you protect your health, every other area of life gets easier.

If you’re ready to create more space, energy, and clarity in your day — start with just one of these strategies and build from there.

✨ Save this for later
✨ Share it with someone who needs more peace and structure

Let’s Talk About Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about hormone support….especially bioidentical hormone replacement therapy

What it is:
BHRT uses hormones that are structurally identical to the ones your body naturally produces. It’s often used to support women through perimenopause/menopause, but men can benefit too (think testosterone support).

What you should know:
BHRT is an option, not the only option. If you’re curious, the best step is to work with a knowledgeable practitioner, get comprehensive lab work, and discuss your unique needs and risks.

Your hormones are powerful messengers. Supporting them (naturally, with lifestyle choices, or with medical therapy) can make a massive difference in your quality of life.

I’m not sure I have all the words yet….but today marked the end of one of many chapters of Nirmana. I have officially moved out of my Eagle Ridge office to temporarily close my books to in-person sessions. This last chapter has been the most beautiful start to Nirmana and I’ve had the honor to work with so many amazing and beautiful people. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of them. I love you all ā¤ļø and this is not the end!!

For the next couple of months, my appointments will be very limited as my family embarks on our next chapter…a military deployment to Africa. From there, I will be continuing my monthly subscription for nutrition guidance and home workouts but will also be taking virtual appointments as well. Stay tuned for more details!
So much love to you all ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Protein matters!!! This is one easy step you can take to help regulate your blood sugar levels if you are on that pre diabetic border, already diagnosed or simply want to improve your metabolism and overall health.
Eat breakfast!!! My favorite go-to breakfast is eggs, spinach and olive oil.

Feeling extra itchy, sneezy, or foggy lately?
Allergy season is in full swing, and if your histamine bucket is overflowing, you’re not alone. Histamine isn’t just triggered by pollen — certain foods and stressors can ramp it up, too.

Here are some quick ways to support your body and dial down the histamine response:

Foods to Limit (High in Histamines):
• Aged cheeses, smoked meats, fermented foods (like sauerkraut, kombucha)
• Alcohol, especially wine and beer
• Vinegar-based foods, soy sauce, tomatoes, eggplant
• Canned or leftover foods (histamine builds over time!)

Foods to Support You (Lower in Histamines):
• Freshly cooked meats and fish
• Leafy greens like arugula, romaine, and watercress
• Berries (except strawberries), apples, pears
• Herbs like basil and thyme
• Quercetin-rich foods (onions, apples, broccoli)

Bonus Tips:
• Hydrate — water helps flush excess histamines
• Support your gut — it’s where histamine is processed
• Try natural antihistamines like quercetin or vitamin C
• Breathe + rest — nervous system calm = lower reactivity

Your body’s doing its best to adapt — with the right support, you can help it stay balanced through the season!
