hi !! i’m soph - owner + operator of sago palm, longtime massage therapist, && lover of all things wellness. 🫶🏼🧚🏽‍♂️

a few years ago my life changed in a way I’m still learning how to put into words

i had to close my yoga studio && pause my business while going through a very serious mental health crisis that included psychosis.

the reality is, i almost died.

i don’t share that for sympathy. i share it because mental illness can be serious, terrifying, && require an incredible amount of help, time, treatment, && support.

as i began healing, i realized my body had been through it, too. i needed affordable ways to feel safe, regulate my nervous system, reconnect with my body, && simply slow down - but many of those resources were difficult to access or unavailable to me.

that stayed with me.

now, i’m still healing while using what i’ve learned through years of working with the body, alongside my own experience, to create something i wish i’d had during that time.

that is the intention behind palm haus.

not to treat mental illness or replace therapy, medication, medical care, or anything else that helped save my life - but to create an affordable space where you can come as you are.

a space to feel safe, slow down, reconnect with your body, support your nervous system, && rest without needing to accomplish anything.

because healing doesn’t always happen through one big thing. sometimes it happens in the small moments when your mind gets quiet, your shoulders drop, && your body feels like somewhere you can live again.

sometimes we just need something - or someone to give us the space + opportunity to heal.

i hope palm haus can be a little piece of that for you. 🐆
