Imagine if you had an itch and somebody said you couldn’t scratch it. Wouldn’t that make you want to crawl out of your skin? Asking a child to stop stimming is sort of similar. We often get asked about stimming. Here’s some helpful information! Comment your most frequent stim below. I’ll start - joint cracking!

Sessions look fun because they are! It can take up to 400 repetitions for the brain to learn something new, however, research suggests that number can drop to 10-20 repetitions if done through play! So the next time you worry that maybe your child and their therapist are “just playing”, rest assured that there is so much more going on! 💖🛝🚂🧸🧠🌈✨
