Thank you to our friend Brian Schactman and the WTIC News/Talk 1080 team for having your favorite Christy Kovel on air this week to chat about the Walk to End Alzheimer's happening in communities across Connecticut this fall, the pivotal moment we are in with pushing to see the Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act pass through Congress, and our state legislative priorities!

🚨 Urgent Action Needed 🚨: Please sign on to our letter asking Senator Chris Murphy to support the Alzheimer's Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act. We need as many people as possible to sign our letter to show Senator Murphy the support his constituents have for this bill. Every name counts!

Take action NOW: alz-ct.quorum.us/campaign/171017

The ASAP Act provides Medicare with the authority to cover blood tests for Alzheimer's and dementia screening. Early detection gives individuals more time to begin treatment, plan ahead, enroll in clinical trials and seek support when it matters most. This bill is a practical, bipartisan step that will improve care and quality of life for countless families in Connecticut. 💜

Recently, our ALZ Youth Student Council came together for their Recognition Dinner, bringing students and their guardians together to celebrate an incredible first term. Together, these students have already raised more than $7,000 and have made a meaningful impact by raising awareness throughout their communities through events supporting Do What You Love to End ALZ.

We are so proud of the creativity and dedication these students have shown in proving that you’re never too young to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Check out this special highlight on these extraordinaires from our friends at WTNH News 8 this week as they continue to push their passion to forward:
