Western Maine AHEC Western Maine Area Health Education Center Encourage Maine youth and mid-career professionals to explore health careers.

The Maine AHEC Network has been working since 1985 to improve the supply, distribution, and diversity of healthcare providers in Maine’s rural and underserved areas. AHEC (Area Health Education Center) supports that effort by working with academic and community partners to:

Provide rural, community-based clinical training experiences for medical and other health professions' students. Support practicing health professionals with continuing education and distance learning opportunities.
