It’s gonna be a hot 🥵 one today and wit that being said if you’re going to be outside a lot today , remember to take several breaks, wear sunscreen 🧴, and stay hydrated… you don’t want to experience a heat stroke or exhaustion while trying to have fun!!!

A heat stroke is a serious, life-threatening condition that happens when the body overheats and can no longer regulate its temperature. It is a medical emergency.

Signs and Symptoms

Common symptoms include:

* Body temperature of 104°F (40°C) or higher
* Hot, red, dry skin (though some people may still be sweating)
* Confusion, disorientation, or unusual behavior
* Dizziness or headache
* Nausea or vomiting
* Rapid heartbeat
* Difficulty speaking
* Seizures
* Loss of consciousness

What Causes It?

Heat stroke can occur when:

* Spending too much time in very hot weather
* Exercising strenuously in the heat
* Being in a hot, poorly ventilated environment
* Not drinking enough fluids

What to Do

If you suspect someone has heat stroke:

1. Call emergency services immediately.
2. Move the person to a cooler place.
3. Remove excess clothing.
4. Cool them with cold water, wet towels, ice packs (especially on the neck, armpits, and groin), or a fan.
5. Do not force fluids if the person is confused or unconscious.

Heat Stroke vs. Heat Exhaustion

Heat exhaustion is less severe and may cause heavy sweating, weakness, and dizziness. If untreated, it can progress to heat stroke.

If you or someone else is experiencing symptoms of heat stroke right now, seek emergency medical help immediately.

Let’s talk about the alphabet of beauty, health, and wellness.

Benefits of Vitamin A

Vitamin A is an essential nutrient that supports many important functions in the body:

🧡 Promotes Healthy Vision

* Helps maintain good eyesight, especially in low-light conditions.
* Supports the health of the cornea and retina.

🧡 Supports the Immune System

* Helps the body fight infections by supporting immune cell function.
* Maintains healthy skin and tissues that act as protective barriers.

🧡 Improves Skin Health

* Encourages healthy skin cell growth and repair.
* May help reduce the appearance of acne and signs of aging when used in certain skincare products.

🧡 Supports Growth and Development

* Important for normal growth, especially in children.
* Plays a role in bone development and tissue repair.

🧡 Reproductive Health

* Supports healthy reproductive function in both men and women.
* Important during pregnancy for fetal growth and development.

🧡 Cell Growth and Maintenance

* Helps with the production and maintenance of healthy cells throughout the body.

Foods Rich in Vitamin A

Some excellent sources include:

* Sweet potatoes
* Carrots
* Spinach
* Kale
* Cantaloupe
* Mangoes
* Eggs
* Dairy products
* Liver

Tip: Vitamin A is fat-soluble, so consuming it with healthy fats (such as avocado, nuts, seeds, or olive oil) can help your body absorb it more effectively.

For skincare enthusiasts, vitamin A derivatives such as Retinol are widely used to help improve skin texture, fine lines, and overall skin appearance.
