Great things happen when dedicated employees work together to serve Veterans!

Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks has been recognized as the 2nd Most Improved Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Area in the Department of Veterans Affairs for calendar year 2025. This achievement reflects a remarkable increase in customer satisfaction, with VHSO’s score rising from 80 to 86 in just one year—the largest improvement of any OIT Area across VA.

Behind every technology solution, service request, and system enhancement is a team of professionals committed to supporting Veteran care and improving the experience of those we serve. Their efforts help ensure Veterans and employees have reliable technology, timely support, and the tools needed to deliver exceptional health care. Congratulations to our OIT team for this outstanding accomplishment and thank you for your continued dedication to serving Veterans across the Ozarks.

Thank you for making Flag Day unforgettable at VHSO!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us in honoring our nation’s flag during our Flag Day event at VHSO. With the help of more than 100 Veterans, staff members, and community partners, we proudly replaced 100 American flags along the Avenue of Flags outside Building 1.

Your dedication and sense of community made this event truly special. Together, we created a powerful display of patriotism and respect for all who have served. Thank you for your support and for helping keep this meaningful tradition alive at VHSO!

Behind every safe healthcare experience is a team working to identify risks, prevent harm, and protect those we serve. During Risk Management Week, June 15–19, Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks proudly recognizes our healthcare risk management professionals and their vital contributions to Veteran care, patient safety, and employee well-being.

This year’s theme, “Broader Vision, Bigger Impact,” highlights the important work these professionals do every day to strengthen systems, support staff, and help ensure Veterans receive safe, high-quality care. From preventing patient harm to promoting a culture of safety, risk management plays a critical role in fulfilling our mission. Thank you to our risk management team and all employees who help make safety a priority for our Veterans, visitors, and fellow staff members.

Together, we create a safer environment where Veterans can receive the trusted care they have earned.
