Before the pandemic, Feeding Our Future handled $3 to $4 million per year in federal nutrition funds. After 2020 emergency rules loosened oversight, the nonprofit became the hub of a $242 million scheme. Its founder was just sentenced to 41.6 years.

On May 21, 2026, U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel sentenced Aimee Bock, 45, founder of Minnesota nonprofit Feeding Our Future, to 500 months — 41.6 years — in federal prison. The Justice Department has called it the largest COVID-19 fraud scheme in the country.

A federal jury convicted Bock last year of wire fraud, conspiracy, and bribery. Prosecutors said her nonprofit became the hub of a $242 million scheme that diverted USDA pandemic child-nutrition money into travel, real estate, and luxury vehicles. She must repay the full amount.

Prosecutors sought 50 years. Bock's defense asked for three. The same day, federal authorities charged 15 more people in connected Minnesota fraud cases. The probe has produced 70+ indictments and 66 convictions.
