Today, faculty, residents and medical educators at Cape Fear Valley Health came together for a faculty development seminar featuring Dr. Roger Strasser and Dr. Sarah Strasser, visiting from Australia.

The Strassers shared their expertise and perspectives on medical education, teaching and learning, creating an opportunity for thoughtful conversation and collaboration among colleagues across the health professions.

We’re grateful to Dr. Roger Strasser and Dr. Sarah Strasser for sharing their time and knowledge with our community, and we extend a special thank you to our Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development team for coordinating this valuable experience for our faculty, residents and colleagues at Cape Fear Valley Health.

As we prepare for our White Coat Ceremony, we welcomed Dr. Roger Strasser and his wife, Dr. Sarah Strasser, who are visiting us from Australia.

Dr. Strasser, founding dean emeritus of NOSM University in Canada and our White Coat Ceremony keynote speaker, and Dr. Sarah Strasser spent time with our students sharing their journeys in medicine and medical education, answering questions and offering insight into navigating the journey through medical school.

We are thrilled to have them with us for this monumental week!

Last week, some of our medical students had their first meetings with their Senior Partners. 💚🤝

Through the Senior Partners Program, our students are paired with community volunteer senior citizens, creating opportunities to connect, build relationships and learn from one another.

We’re grateful to the seniors who have volunteered their time to be part of this experience with our students. 🩺
