September has a way of making everything feel busier all at once. The kids are back in school, schedules tighten, and the mental load of keeping everything running grows heavier. For families also caring for an aging parent, this time of year can feel especially stretched.

Hart Home Health Care is here for the whole family, every season. Whether your loved one needs a few hours of companion care each week or more consistent daily support, we build a plan that fits your life. You do not have to choose between being there for your kids and being there for your parents.

For parents of adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), there is one question that often keeps them awake at night: What will happen to my child when I am no longer here to care for them?

They feel whether someone is truly present with them. At Hart Home Health Care, our dementia care is built on patience, presence, and the kind of connection that goes beyond memory. If your family is navigating this journey, you do not have to do it alone.

Trying to figure out if Medicaid will pay for non-medical home care in Pennsylvania?

It depends on the waiver. CHC, OBRA, and Act 150 all cover personal care and daily living support at home, but each one serves a different situation. We broke down exactly who qualifies for what, so you can stop guessing and start getting answers.

If you're researching Medicaid waivers in Pennsylvania, you're probably trying to answer one practical question: will this actually pay for the kind of help my loved one needs at home, or does it just pay for a nursing f...

Did you know that in Pennsylvania, you may be able to hire and get paid as a caregiver for a family member?

It's called participant-directed care, and it's available through Community HealthChoices (Services My Way), the OBRA Waiver, and Act 150. Instead of being assigned an aide, families can choose, hire, and manage their own caregiver, including adult children, siblings, and grandchildren.

Spouses generally can't be paid under these programs, but many other family relationships qualify. We broke down how the hiring process works, what it covers, and how to get started.

Share this with someone who's navigating caregiving decisions right now.

For many Pennsylvania families navigating Medicaid-funded home care, one of the most overlooked details is just how much control they actually have over who provides that care. Participant-directed care is built around e...

July 26, 1990. The Americans with Disabilities Act became law and changed what was possible for millions of people across this country.

36 years later, that law is not just history. For the individuals Hart Home Health Care serves every single day across Southeastern Pennsylvania, it is the foundation that makes their daily lives, routines, and rights possible.

The right to live in their community. The right to work and participate. The right to be supported in ways that build independence rather than replace it. The right to dignity and respect in every interaction, every visit, every day.
