She drove 45 minutes to her doctor’s appointment, handed over a list of symptoms like hair falling out in the shower, so tired she was falling asleep by 7pm, 14 pounds gained in four months without changing anything….

….and the nurse called back two days later to say her TSH came back at 2.8 and everything looked “within range.”

She cried in the parking lot.

Here’s the thing: “normal” on a standard lab panel is a statistical average of a sick population. It does not mean YOUR thyroid is functioning optimally for YOUR body.

There’s a significant difference between a TSH of 2.8 and a TSH of 1.2 and that gap can be the difference between exhausted and functional.

Your symptoms are data. They deserve to be taken seriously.

A full thyroid panel looks like TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies TPO and TgAb.

📲 Every week I break down what your thyroid numbers actually mean and why you can feel terrible with a “normal” result so stick around so you stop leaving appointments with zero answers.

💬 Comment SECRET and I’ll send you my free guide: The Secret to Reading Your Thyroid Blood Tests so you know how to read your thyroid labs once you get them.

Most thyroid and hormone practitioners are still treating the smoke instead of the fire.

You gain weight? Here’s a medication.

You’re exhausted? Take this supplement.

You can’t sleep? Try magnesium.

Your hormones are off? Here’s a hormone.

And while some of those things may help temporarily….they don’t explain WHY your body is struggling in the first place.

The weight gain is the smoke.

The fatigue is the smoke.

The bloating is the smoke.

The hair loss is the smoke.

The anxiety, insomnia, cravings, and hormone symptoms?

More smoke.

The fire is often happening underneath the surface:

🔥 Mineral imbalances
🔥 Blood sugar dysregulation
🔥 Chronic stress physiology
🔥 Gut dysfunction
🔥 Inflammation
🔥 Poor hormone metabolism
🔥 Thyroid dysfunction that’s being missed on standard labs

This is why so many women feel stuck.

They’re chasing symptoms while the root cause continues to burn.

And the longer that happens, the more frustrating it becomes.

You start wondering:

“Why am I doing everything right and still feeling terrible?”

“Why can’t I lose weight like everyone else?”

“Why do my labs look normal when I clearly don’t feel normal?”

I know that feeling because I lived it myself.

And it’s exactly why I take a root-cause approach with my clients.

Because your body isn’t broken.

It’s communicating.

You just need to know where to look.

This is exactly how I help women inside my group program, ReBalance. This is where you get advanced functional testing that your doctor isn’t doing.

If you’re tired of guessing and ready to find out what’s actually driving your symptoms, comment or send me a DM with READY and let’s talk about working together.

❤️And don’t forget to share this with a friend who you want to help too

A TSH-only result is like checking whether your car has gas and declaring the engine healthy. It tells you almost nothing about what’s actually happening with your thyroid.

As someone who works with thyroid and hormone clients every day inside ReBalance (my thyroid and hormone program), I watch people bring in a lab report that says “everything looks normal” while they’re sleeping 9 hours and waking up exhausted, gaining weight eating 1,400 calories, and forgetting words mid-sentence. Normal on a TSH test. Anything but normal in real life.

Remember, symptoms don’t happen in a vacuum.

Your thyroid doesn’t work independently from your hormones, blood sugar, nutrient status, stress response, and overall metabolism.

The goal is finally understanding WHY you feel the way you do.

📲 Everyday I post the kind of functional health education your doctor’s 8-minute appointment doesn’t have time for so stick around and you’ll walk into your next appointment knowing what to ask.

You cut the calories. You added the walks. You gave up the wine and the bread and the late nights and the scale moved exactly 0.4 pounds in six weeks.

Meanwhile your coworker mentioned she “just stopped snacking” and dropped twelve pounds by her sister’s wedding.

Here’s what nobody tells you: when your thyroid is underperforming, your metabolism is working against you at a biological level. It’s not because you aren’t trying hard enough. It’s your hormones running on a broken signal.

The fix isn’t another calorie cut….it’s figuring out exactly what’s off and addressing it at the root.

This is the biggest reason why I do advanced functional testing with every single client to help them understand what is causing the issue in the first place instead of masking it with another diet or supplement.

📲 Every week I break down the thyroid and hormone patterns that make weight loss feel impossible, so stick around and you’ll finally have answers that actually match what your body is doing.

If you’re exhausted all day but wide awake the second your head hits the pillow…

Your thyroid may not be the only thing going on.

I hear this all the time from women with hypothyroidism:

💭 “I’m tired all day but can’t sleep at night.”
💭 “My brain won’t shut off.”
💭 “I keep waking up between 2-4AM.”

Most women assume they just need better sleep habits.

But often, this pattern is a sign that the body is stuck in stress mode.

I frequently find deeper issues underneath the surface like cortisol dysregulation, mineral deficiencies, blood sugar instability, gut dysfunction, inflammation, and hormone imbalances.

The body is working overtime just to keep up.

That’s why I don’t believe in guessing.

Your body leaves clues.

The key is knowing where to look.

When we identify the root cause and support the body properly, that’s when women start sleeping deeper, feeling calmer, thinking more clearly, and finally getting their energy back.

Comment READY or DM me READY if you’re tired of feeling wired, exhausted, and stuck. We can chat about ReBalance, my group program where you get advanced functional testing your doctor isn’t doing.

No matter how many supplements I kept trying, I always come back to one thing:

Testing first.

For years, I did everything I was told to do.

I tracked my macros.
I worked out five days a week.
I cut calories.
I avoided sugar.

And despite all of that, the scale barely moved. And I was exhausted, bloated, frustrated, and starting to wonder if my body was simply broken.

Every doctor appointment felt the same.

A quick TSH test.
A “your labs look normal.”
And a reminder to keep doing what I was already doing.

I remember sitting in my car after one appointment crying because I knew something wasn’t right.

I just didn’t have any answers.

What I eventually learned changed everything:

You can’t solve a problem you haven’t properly identified.

Sometimes it’s thyroid hormones.
Sometimes it’s cortisol.
Sometimes it’s blood sugar, mineral deficiencies, inflammation, or hormones.

But until you know what’s actually driving the symptoms, you’re just guessing.

And if you’ve been trying harder and harder without getting results…

You’re not failing.

You may simply be working with incomplete information.

When I started working from my actual lab results instead of symptoms alone, my jeans fit better, I had energy all day without needing caffeine, and I finally was confident looking in the mirror again.

That’s the foundation I build every single client protocol on: test first, personalize second, supplement third. This is what we do in my group program, ReBalance.

If you’ve ever been told your labs were “normal” while you still felt exhausted, bloated, anxious, or stuck, you’re not alone.

💬 Tell me in the comments: What symptom frustrates you the most right now?

Is it:

• Fatigue
• Weight gain
• Hair loss
• Brain fog
• Poor sleep
• Something else?
