Mother’s Day carries many different emotions.
For some, today is filled with laughter, hugs, messy homes, and little voices calling you mom.
For others, the home that was once full feels a little quieter now as children grow up and begin lives of their own.
For some, today holds heartache.
The longing for a child you have prayed for, the grief of miscarriage or loss. The pain of a journey that did not unfold the way you hoped.
For others it is simply missing the mother you wish you could hug today.
However this day is also for the women whose love reaches far beyond a title.
The women:
Who nurture.
Who protect.
Who guide.
Who show up for others even while carrying their own pain.
The women who may never have children of their own, yet still give so much love, strength, and care to the people around them, because motherhood is more than biology.
It is compassion.
Sacrifice.
Grace.
Strength.
The ability to pour love into others, even through life’s hardest seasons.
Today, we celebrate the mothers.
We honor the women grieving.
We hold space for the women still waiting and we recognize every woman whose heart has carried love, loss, hope, or healing along the way.
You are seen.
You are valued.
