Renown Health took another major step in expanding access to care across northern Nevada on Sept. 22, breaking ground on a new ambulatory care center in the growing Sparks, Sun Valley and Spanish Springs community.

The future facility will bring primary care, urgent care, specialty services and diagnostic resources closer to where families live, helping patients access care earlier, more conveniently and closer to home. Located near Pyramid Way, Sparks Boulevard and Highland Ranch Parkway, the facility is on 40 acres in the Spanish Springs area and is expected to open in late 2027.

Renown Health is proud to be the Official Healthcare Partner of the Nevada Wolf Pack, expanding our long-standing relationship with the University of Nevada, Reno. As part of the new partnership, the Renown logo will make its debut on jersey patches for both Nevada men’s and women’s basketball, bringing two organizations deeply rooted in northern Nevada together on the court.

Fans will also see Renown across Wolf Pack Athletics, from new on-court and arena branding to a Renown medical tent at football games, providing a connection to the care and support available to student-athletes. Together, Renown and the University of Nevada, Reno are continuing our shared commitment to advancing health and wellness throughout our region.

Start With the Right Helmet.

Not all helmets are designed for the same type of riding. A CPSC‑certified bicycle helmet is designed for speeds up to 20 mph and is recommended for Class 1 and Class 2 e‑bikes. An NTA 8776 helmet provides protection at higher speeds, up to 28 mph, and is recommended for Class 3 e‑bikes. A DOT motorcycle helmet meets federal motorcycle standards and is appropriate only when a rider is operating a vehicle that exceeds e‑bike classifications.

Be Seen.
Help drivers see your child, especially at night or in low light. Make sure they have front and rear bike lights, wear reflective gear or clothing with reflective materials, and choose bright or high‑visibility clothing during the day.

Protect More Than Their Head.
The right gear can help reduce injuries when things go wrong. Gloves can protect their hands, eye protection can keep debris out of their eyes, and knee and elbow protection can be especially helpful for younger or less experienced riders. Closed‑toe shoes add another layer of safety.
