Many people ask about laser hair removal with an apprehensive approach. The most common question is, “does it hurt?!” This video demonstrates how far laser technology has come in regard to safety and comfort. Years ago I had an artist design this cartoon for when I announced monthly specials! 🎉 Twenty-two years ago, I was a client before I became a Laser Techncian/ Advanced Aesthetican. In the medspa that I visited, there were many images of perfect looking models. It made me feel out of place and MORE self-conscious than the reasons I scheduled an appointment to begin with. With that being said, I am a small business. I have never enjoyed a corporate atmosphere. Lighthouse doesn’t spend a lot of money on advertising, so my prices remain affordable. Word of mouth has always been my best form of advertisement. My philosophy is, if I do a great job, that will speak for itself.

Thank you to so many of my clients that have been loyal and consistent, since 2014. Thank you for your patience while I transitioned to this new space.

Lighthouse Laser is located inside True Artisty at 150 E. Main St. Fernley, NV 89408. Our establishment is overseen by Medical Director, Jennifer Garrett, APRN.

I was reflecting on my journey, and the ways my business has grown and changed over the years. Even though I am from NV, this state didn’t have schools to be a laser tech or Aesthetician, in the early 2000s. So, I consulted a plastic surgeon that was a family friend. He referred me to The Rocky Mountain Laser College in CO, where I received my education in 2003. I later attended Aesthetics School in Las Vegas in 2005. I gained my experience after I moved to Arizona, and managed Laguna Laser in 2009. I moved back to Nevada in 2013 and opened Lighthouse Fitness (specializing in Zumba for kids 2013), then became Lighthouse Laser & Fitness in 2014, when I brought the first Laser Hair Removal device to Fallon NV. Dr. Holman was a terrific mentor, and I am still immensely grateful to him.

I took a pause from doing business for myself around the time of covid, and went to be a laser technician for another company. In 2023, the state board of Nevada changed laws for laser techs, and I had to return to Aesthetics school to receive a new certification that is now required in NV, called an Advanced Aesthetics license. Regardless of prior experience and education, I had to take that course to continue in my career of 20+ yrs, so I did. I also looked at this event as an opportunity to further my education, by signing up for nursing school, which I currently attend.

Now, I am ecstatic to be back in business!! I am passionate about helping each client to feel comfortable in their own skin! I love being a laser tech., and skincare specialist. Thank you to all the clients that have entrusted me over the years.
