Had the pleasure of hearing him speak and being a guest at his park in 2011! Grace had an amazing time! Pure joy on everyone’s faces there! Well worth the trip!

Gordon Hartman was on holiday with his family when he watched his daughter Morgan approach a group of children tossing a ball in a hotel pool. They took the ball and left.

He has said he will never forget the look on her face, and that the incident was the tipping point.

He sold his San Antonio homebuilding business in 2005 for $51 million, set up a family foundation, and spent roughly $34 million building a theme park that opened in
2010.

Morgan's Wonderland covers 25 acres with a carousel built to take wheelchairs, jungle gyms wide enough for two side by side, braille games and table-height sandboxes. Doctors, therapists and parents helped design it.

Admission is free for anyone with a disability.

Everyone else pays. Three out of four visitors have no disability at all, which was the point.
Morgan is 30.

The park has drawn visitors from 67 countries, added a $17 million water park, a 102-acre camp and an accessible hotel.

Letter from Julia:

Hello Everyone!
My name is Julia De Penti and I am a 2026 graduate from BGSU’s Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders program, meaning I had the privilege of spending 4 semesters working with students that receive speech services at our campus clinic! I also compete in pageants through the Miss Ohio Scholarship program, the state preliminary for Miss America, a 501c3 nonprofit that provides scholarships to women across the country. Miss America is actually one of the largest scholarship providers to women nationally!! In February, I was crowned the 2026 Miss Spirit of Ohio and will have the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss Ohio in June! I coordinated with the BG parade committee to walk in the parade and welcome students involved and receiving services at the clinic to walk with me! I have also invited one of my sister queens, Miss Bowling Green Kalli Gregory! She graduated from BG this past December with a bachelor’s in neuroscience! Bowling Green became a home to me over the two years, I'm excited to walk in the parade and welcome others to join the fun! All are welcome, I will have crowns and candy for the kids!! Starting place in the post office, we can meet there or discuss another meeting place when we know more about who is participating!

Let me know if you’re interested and/or direct any questions to 4404093700 or [email protected]
