Here’s what nobody is talking about so I will 👇🏻

You started HRT hoping to feel better.

But now you’re bloated, constipated, your belly feels puffy, and the scale keeps creeping up.
And you’re wondering what the hell is going on.
Here’s what I want you to understand.

Your liver helps process estrogen, and your gut plays a role in getting estrogen metabolites OUT through your stool.

When you’re constipated, it’s worth looking at how well your digestion is functioning.

But constipation and weight gain don’t automatically mean estrogen is building up. Your HRT dose, thyroid, nutrition, and other factors deserve attention too.

This is why I look beyond hormones alone.
Because adding more supplements or changing your HRT without understanding what’s happening isn’t the answer.

Follow for more of the conversations we need to be having about perimenopause.

Comment GUT and I’ll send you my Liver Reset.

You can keep cutting calories, eating more protein, tracking every bite, and adding another 30 minutes of cardio.

But what if your belly fat isn’t JUST a calorie problem?

You’re waking up exhausted, running on caffeine, dealing with chronic stress, sleeping like crap, and wondering why that stubborn belly won’t budge.

And somehow the advice is STILL to eat less and move more?

Seriously?

For women in perimenopause, chronic stress, poor sleep, insulin resistance, and hormonal changes can all play a role in how your body stores fat.

Yet nobody is looking at the bigger picture.
You don’t need another 1,200 calorie diet or someone telling you to try harder.

You need to understand what’s actually going on beneath the surface.

That’s why we look beyond food alone and use appropriate lab testing to investigate what may be contributing to your symptoms.

Comment LABS and I’ll share what I’d test and where I’d start.

Your labs say “normal.”
You’re on HRT.
And your body is still saying otherwise.

Your belly keeps growing, you’re bloated by dinner, and you’re wide awake at 3 AM.

Those are exactly the symptoms that make me look harder at cortisol and insulin, not just hormones. Because if chronic stress has been running the show, or insulin is staying higher than it should, HRT may not be the whole answer. And a lot of women were never properly tested for either one.

One random morning cortisol number.
No fasting insulin.
No deeper look at the pattern.

Then they’re told everything is “fine”
Comment LABS and I’ll send you the markers I look at and where I’d start next.

You have been blaming your calories for belly fat that was never a calorie problem.

5 signs it is a cortisol problem and most high-performing women are completely overlooking all of them.

The fat is only in your midsection. Not your hips, not your thighs. Cortisol is the only hormone that directs your body to store fat specifically around your middle.

You are eating less than ever and still gaining. A calorie problem responds to less food. A cortisol problem does not. Restriction makes it worse.

You are wired at night and exhausted in the morning. That is a flipped cortisol curve. And it is storing fat while you lie awake.

Your stress has been high for years, not weeks. Chronic stress keeps cortisol elevated long term. The belly fat is the result of years of output, not last month’s food choices.
You feel puffy and inflamed, not just heavy.

Cortisol driven belly fat comes with inflammation. That puffiness is a stress response, not a food problem.

Belly fat is a symptom. Before we talk about food or exercise I want to know what is upstream. That is why I run a DUTCH test. It shows your full 24-hour cortisol curve, not a single number drawn at one moment in time.

If you are over 35 and tired of being told to eat less and move more when you know something deeper is going on, follow me.

Then comment GUIDE below and I will send you the exact labs I run that finally explain why the belly fat will not move.

Perimenopause weight plateau? I look at the liver first.

This is why we always start with a liver detox.

If your liver is carrying a bigger load, insulin is running high, and inflammation is sitting in the background, another calorie deficit is not the first place I’m looking.

I want labs like ALT, AST, bilirubin, ferritin, homocysteine, fasting insulin, and hs-CRP. And I always look at the gut too, because gut inflammation and hormone clearance can be part of the same picture.

So many women are eating cleaner, training harder, gaining belly fat, and getting told, “Your labs are normal.”

If you keep hearing that, your provider may not be looking at the full picture.

10 red flags I see in women who keep blaming food for the bloating.

You’ve cut gluten, cut dairy, tried low FODMAP, and somehow the list of foods you “can’t eat” keeps getting longer.

At some point, I stop blaming food and start asking better questions. Are you pooping every day? Going every 2–3 days? Loose in the morning? Constipated all week? Bloated by dinner?

And what does your stress look like? Coffee before food. Lunch at your desk. Back-to-back meetings. Wired at night. Wide awake at 3 AM.

We don’t guess around these patterns. We test.

I use a stool analysis to see what’s actually going on in the gut, because so many women assume it’s “just hormones” when the gut may be a huge part of the bloating, belly fat, fatigue, and brain fog.

Comment LABS for the labs I’d run and a plan built around your symptoms, instead of one 9 AM blood draw followed by, “Your labs are fine.”
