This is going to upset some people. But I don’t care because it’s true. Especially slide 9.

Alcohol destroys your sleep quality.

It suppresses your REM sleep, the stage where your brain consolidates memory, processes emotions and actually restores itself. It suppresses melatonin. It raises your heart rate overnight. It fragments the second half of your night.

You might fall asleep faster. But you are not recovering.

I stopped drinking on September 17th 2019 and never looked back. My sleep, my energy, my mood; everything improved substantially.

I can’t preach a non-toxic lifestyle and drink literal poison to the human body at the same time.

Your sleep is too important. Protect it. 🙏

This one daily habit lowers your cortisol, increases your dopamine and serotonin and physically rewires your brain.

And it costs nothing.

Gratitude.

Years ago I put a sign right behind the front desk at my chiropractic office. It just asks one question — “What are you grateful for today?”

Because the quality of your life is determined by the quality of the questions you ask yourself.

Be consistent with it. Speak it out loud. Pray it. Share it with someone who needs to hear it.

There is always an incredible amount to be grateful for right now. 🙏

3 worst aisles at the grocery store and one of them has nothing to do with food. 👀

The worst aisle for adults. The worst aisle for kids. And the worst aisle for everyone.

Welcome. 👋🏼

I’m Jordan. Christian, husband, dad of two, chiropractor.

14 years of holistic health practice. Author of 3 books. Showing up here daily to help you live healthier and more intentionally.

I believe one thing at my core: the human body is one of the most resilient, self-healing, self-organizing and adaptable organisms on the planet. YOU are powerful.

The power that made the body heals the body.

Everything on this page is built around that belief.

But it won’t happen without faith. Without discipline. Without consistency. Without taking accountability and responsibility for your life.

Focus on your health. Nutrition. Water. Movement. Sleep. Sunlight. Prayer. Breathwork. Grounding. The basics done consistently every single day.

Take daily action.

I believe in you. I hope you believe in you too.

Glad you’re here. 🙏🏼

I had coffee with a friend who’s about to become a dad for the first time and already people are telling him to expect the weight gain, say goodbye to the gym, all of it.

“Wait until you graduate.” “Wait until you get married.” “Wait until you have kids.”

It’s always something, usually from people who used that season as their own excuse to stop taking care of themselves.

Priorities shift when life changes. They should. But different doesn’t mean gone.

Don’t inherit someone else’s lack of discipline as your script.

What season of life made you adjust, not abandon, your routine? Drop it below. 👇

I don’t know who needs to hear this but developing “boring” habits with discipline and consistency allow you to feel excited, comfortable and confident in your own body. There’s nothing boring about that.

You only have one body.

Take care of it.

When life gets hard, move your body.

Lift weights. Walk outside. Get into nature.

Movement gives you something to focus on beyond your problems.

Exercise does more for your mental health than your physical health.

Your body was designed to move. Especially when your mind wants to quit.

This is going to be really honest and something I’ve been struggling with lately.

Before I had kids I thought I was one of the most calm, cool and collected people I knew. Then we had Korinne and Beau.

And my kids have triggered a short temper and anger in me that I never really knew existed. And that’s been extremely humbling.

Here’s what I’ve had to remind myself of..

When a 3 and 5 year old don’t listen to you the first time, it’s not defiance. It’s development. Their brains are still being formed. Their emotional regulation is still being wired.

They are not giving me a hard time. They are having a hard time.

The deeper question every dad needs to ask himself, “am I actually angry at my kids right now? Or am I stressed in another area of my life and it’s bleeding over into how I’m responding as a father?”

Most of the time if I’m honest, it’s the second one.

Master the art of the pause. Take the breath. Give your kids the grace their age and development deserve.

I am still far from perfect at this. I still have moments of a short temper and anger that I’m not proud of. But I’m aware of it. I’m working on it. And that’s the point.

You’re not a bad dad for feeling this. You’re a human being doing one of the hardest jobs on earth.

Keep working on it. I am too. 🙏

This is your reminder.

Getting natural sunlight in your eyes and on your skin within 30-60 minutes of sunrise is the single most important thing you can do for your sleep and your circadian rhythm.

It sets your cortisol, your serotonin and your melatonin all in one simple habit. And it’s completely free.

The flip side is that artificial light at night suppresses your melatonin and destroys your sleep quality. Be conscious of what light you’re exposing yourself to after dark.
