Laughter and the sizzle of the grill filled the air as The Marquardt hosted a summer picnic for residents of Park Terrace. More than just a cookout, the gathering provided an opportunity for residents to spend time together, strengthen friendships, and enjoy the warmth of community on a beautiful summer day.

Events like these reflect the caring spirit that surrounds our residents every day. We are grateful to the Marquardt Volunteers, Commonheart Home Health and Hospice Volunteers, and Marquardt staff who volunteered their time and support to help make this event possible.

A special thank you to Crave/Bistro Executive Chef Brandon with New Horizon Foods, Inc. for showcasing his grilling skills and helping create a memorable afternoon filled with great food, connection, and community.

For 29 years, Rev. Jane Gehler has been a compassionate and faithful presence in the lives of residents, families, and staff at The Marquardt and Illuminus.

What began in 1997 as a part-time opportunity assisting with a fundraising campaign grew into a lifelong ministry of service and connection. Today, as Director of Spiritual Care for The Marquardt and Illuminus, Reverend Jane Gehler continues to bring comfort, encouragement, and hope through worship services, resident visits, staff support, and countless meaningful conversations.

Rev. Jane's dedication, kindness, and servant heart have touched generations of our community. We are deeply grateful for her gracious leadership and her many years of service. Thank you, Rev.
