Dan Buccilli is an incredible stylist with a natural talent for hair-cutting, color and extensions. He's been making clients happy for more than 10 years. He’s a stylist and proud owner of Refinery Hair co. Located in downtown Flint, MI. Dan began his career by attending the Douglas J. Aveda Institute in East Lansing, MI. He's had the opportunity to apprentice and work with some of the leading pro

fessionals in the industry as well as continued educational opportunities with Aveda, Bumble and bumble, Hot Heads hair extensions, and Douglas J. He grew quickly as a stylist at Douglas J. salons where he specialized in hair cutting and styling. Within a few years Dan was given the opportunity to team up to open Heat Blow Dry & Beauty Boutique; in which he was quickly successful. Dan's number one priority is providing a world class experience; helping his clients achieve the best "look" through exceptional customer service and consultation. From Walmart to Target. Y’all, do your research when considering extension. You will get what you pay for.
This project was broken in to two separate appointments. My assistant and I spent an hour removing her previous (poorly installed) extensions. Did a full color correction and a Brazilian blowout to assure that her course/frizzy natural hair would giver her a seamless blend for the look she was going for.
Day two we installed 200 grams of individual extension.
Total cost of this service was $1,780. Extensions are a luxury service and can be a big investment.

Favorite Product: Davines Dry Texturizer. "This is hands down the best finishing spray for volume and texture. It smells great too!"

Best Part of the Job: "I love the friendships I've built with clients and my peers. I get to use my creativity everyday to make people feel amazing."

New for you since starting at the Refinery: "We've grown from 11 employees to more than 30. We have the most dedicated and talented team. Personally, I've taken hours of advanced education along with many on our team and have received several certifications. I married my longtime partner David. We bought a house and have welcomed two new pug babies: Margaret & Mellie."

Final thoughts: "I'm so thankful to our community for voting us the best salon four years in a row, have won several small business awards and have been formally recognized by our state governor, . We were also named a Top 100 salon in the world in the category of Salon Decor. I feel so blessed to have this career that excites me everyday."
