I hope I never lose my sense of wonder over the little things. A hummingbird at the feeder. A deer quietly passing through. A wildflower blooming where no one planted it.

Any one of those moments can make my whole day. They remind me that beauty doesn’t have to be rare or far away. Sometimes, it’s right outside the window, waiting for me to slow down and notice.

This is why the Second Agreement, when practiced well, is so impactful. Don't take things personally. 💓

A child, partner, or family member gets quiet or disappointed, and before you know it, you are replaying the conversation and wondering what you eed to fix.

Enmeshment in families does not always look dramatic.

It can sound as simple as:
If you’re upset, I must have done something wrong.
