Our dear sweet Minion crossed over Rainbow 🌈 Bridge yesterday. She had been missing a couple of days (which was definitely not like her) and our animal empath Collin found her suffering under her favorite chair on our porch. She was more than likely struck by a car but managed to make it back home. Even with all the emergency knowledge and applications, the damage was just too extensive. The irony is we re-homed her last kitten yesterday just before we found her. She was the absolute BEST mom and grandma ever. She became a wet nurse while Princess Peach was sick and during her surgery. We decided to keep the last kitten (who is her grandbaby) in her honor who Jack affectionately named MJ (Minion Junior). 🥹 She was only 3 years old and will be missed here on the ranch. 🐈

Baby chick born with splayed legs. 😢 This is the second chick 🐥 born this way. We successfully made a splint the first one, and so we’re attempting it again. Sweet baby!

Meet Willow! She came to us with her sidekick (Hanny) to help Jenny who was very lonely. Willow is extremely friendly and comes to greet us when we come through the gate! She’s a lot older and wiser than Jenny but with that, can come a slight attitude. 🤣 She’s a leader in every way and the ranch would not be the same without her! 🫏❤️

Our resident Orb Weaver! She likes to move wherever she pleases. 😂 If anyone knows me, they probably wouldn’t believe I would EVER come this close to a spider. Tbh they’ve grown on me! I only like certain ones and oddly enough, the larger, the better. 🫣 Living in Texas, we can’t get away from them. And it was a rude awakening when one day I went out at night and saw thousands of “twinkling lights” on our property, that I later found out were spiders’ eyes. 👀 Immersion therapy over here at Barefoot Ranch 🤣

I know what you’re thinking… such an original name…😒 Buuut this beautiful lady came with this name and we gave her a new home a few years ago. She is another OG to Catherine Johnston and it didn’t take long before we realized 3 things: 1. She needed to lose some weight, 2. She was lonely. 3. She was extremely hand shy. We soon got her some friends and now she’s one of the first to come say hi. The weight loss plan is also working!
We originally got donkeys to help with predators (but found out that that is actually a myth🤨). But now they are beloved pets who stole our hearts. 🥰
