It’s all about the layers 👏🏼

Skincare, lasers & microneedling → improve skin quality
Filler → restores volume + structural support
Botox → targets muscle movement

They’re not interchangeable and one treatment can’t do it all. The best aesthetic results come from understanding the anatomy, identifying which layer needs to be addressed, and choosing the right treatment for it.

Because in plastic surgery, we’re not just treating wrinkles, we’re looking at every layer. 💉

POV: You think collagen is going to “lift” your face…

I just had my SkinPen microneedling treatment, and one of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:

“If it builds collagen, won’t it lift my skin?”

Not exactly.

Microneedling creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries that stimulate your body to produce new collagen and elastin. That new collagen helps improve:
• Skin texture
• Fine lines
• Firmness
• Overall skin quality

What it doesn’t do is physically reposition tissue that’s already descended due to aging.

Think of it this way:
✨ Collagen improves the quality of your skin.
✨ Lifting procedures improve the position of your tissues.

Healthy collagen gives you firmer, more resilient skin, but if you’re expecting a true lift, that’s a different conversation.

That’s why the best treatment plan is based on what’s actually causing the concern, not just doing “more collagen.”
