Our Foley Sports Medicine family is rallying around one of our own, senior Makayla Shoenight—our Sports Medicine senior, HOSA President, and ATSA, who is in critical condition after a medical emergency on Friday.

Makayla is someone who leads with kindness, quietly shows up for others, and meets challenges with a persistence, perseverance, and grit that make us proud to call her one of our own. She is already following in the footsteps of her parents who have spent so much time pouring into the community, and now it’s our turn to surround her and her family with that same love and support.

We ask our Foley community, friends, and family to keep Makayla and her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. Please lift them up, send them encouragement, and remind them that they are not walking this road alone. If you are able, please reach out to Bon Secour Fire for ways you can help.

Makayla, your Foley family is behind you, cheering you on every step of the way. You have an entire community in your corner, and we are sending you so much love. One team, one family.

Due to an approaching weather system, our Hall of Fame Game this week vs. Daphne High School has been moved from Friday to THURSDAY night!

When QB Dante Moore went down, Oregon senior athletic trainer Brandee Barbee acted immediately to stabilize his head and neck. Her quick response is a powerful example of the expertise, preparation and decisive care athletic trainers bring to the sidelines. What a Homecoming week! A successful mum sale, special mums of our own from Foley Football for our seniors, a great parade, door decorating, a great win, and a fun Homecoming dance! 🎉🏈 Big Thank You to Chief Shoenight and Bon Secour Fire Rescue for pulling our float in style, lights and all! 🚨

Now we’re ready to get back in the grind and make it another strong week!

This week, our Sports Medicine ATSA students and Foley Football stepped away from the field for a little team building at the bowling alley!

We’re thankful for opportunities like this to connect with our athletes outside of competition and strengthen the relationships that help make our program successful!

A little friendly competition, and a lot of laughs, have our team ready for a strong second half of regular season!
