Dr. Don Retirement Surprise (Please read until the end!!!!)
Hello, everyone! My name is Erin Steward, and I am Dr. Don’s daughter. As you may or may not know, he is retiring this coming June 9 after a career of nearly 40 years as a pediatrician in Fond du Lac. Many have asked me when his retirement party will be— after all, it is only logical to celebrate such a lengthy commitment to his craft. However, out of respect for Dr. Don’s wishes, there will NOT be a retirement party for him.
I know that there are many of you who still would like to honor him in some way, which is where this retirement SURPRISE (again…. He has no idea!) originated. One thing about Dr. Don is that he LOVES letters. I would like to make him a book filled with letters from folks with whom he has interacted over the years. If you are a family member, friend, current or former patient (or family member of a current or former patient), current or former co-worker, community member, and the list goes on… he would love to hear from you! Please have letters postmarked by JUNE 1 if at all possible.
You can get the letter to me through one of two ways. The first is to send it to the following address via the USPS:
