This is a key role focused on making sure we have the right materials, supplies, equipment, and services on hand and available for our customers.

The Procurement Manager will lead sourcing and purchasing efforts, building strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, monitoring inventory needs, and finding ways to continuously improve our purchasing processes.

What’s the latest on our Oat/Soybean Double-Crop Trial? 👇

We planted 1.6 maturity soybeans at 200,000 plants per acre right after oat harvest in early July, using a crosshatch pattern to maximize available sunlight.

Planting soybeans in late July sounds pretty late, right? Yep. But that’s what this trial is all about. If we can get even half of a normal soybean crop, we’ll call Year 1 a win.

We’d like to get the beans planted earlier into standing oats next year, but this year we were limited by equipment and row-spacing logistics. (...now we know what to change for Year 2.)

After several dry weeks, the recent rains have finally kicked these beans into high gear. 📈🌱

We’ll keep watching and sharing what we learn.
